Chapter No: 50 – Soorah: Quoff (Voice Of Qur’an)
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
قٓۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡمَجِيدِ١
50:1. Carefully read the guidance that is presented clearly under the title, “Quoff”. Many facts will be enlightened.
بَلۡ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَقَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيۡءٌ عَجِيبٌ٢
50:2. Are the people amazed to note that Rabbu's guidance is clearly stated in the language they speak? Are they astonished that the person who explains them is just an ordinary person like you? Nothing to be so surprised about. But only to those who are not inclined to accept, it may come as a surprise.
When such people come to know that the lifeless society will be enlightened, it may be a surprise to them
أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِيدٞ٣
50:3. Are they thunderstruck to know about the resurrection of man after he dies and is buried in the dust? How can they know that is possible? It is something beyond human perception?
قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظُۢ٤
50:4. Allah knows the truth about the loss of weight on earth after the death of the man. Every action he takes is safely recorded and preserved.
That is, the human body becomes dusty. But his "Nafs", (or) "Rooh" referred to as "souls" do not perish as well. It has to move on to the next phase of life.
بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِيٓ أَمۡرٖ مَّرِيجٍ٥
50:5. This is Rabbu's plan with regard to human life. But when it is revealed to the people, they say that it is a lie. The fact is that they are confused without any clarity about this.
أَفَلَمۡ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَيۡفَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٖ٦
50:6. If this statement of Rabbu is to be proved, let them examine the creations of the world. Let them gaze up at the sky above. Let them take a look at how it has been structured and beautifully crafted without any cracks in it.
If this is true, then what Allah says about the next stage of man's life is also true.
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۢ بَهِيجٖ٧
50:7. Let them also study as to how the earth is spacious, how firm and strong the mountains have created in it, and how varieties of food materials grow in it. Let them also notice that each of the creations has been created in pairs.
If this is true, then what Allah says about the next stage of man's life is also true.
تَبۡصِرَةٗ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبۡدٖ مُّنِيبٖ٨
50:8. The purpose of presenting these facts is to remove the veil of ignorance in man and to open his inner vision. It is for everyone to think and act according to Rabbu's guidance.
وَنَزَّلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ مُّبَٰرَكٗا فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٖ وَحَبَّ ٱلۡحَصِيدِ٩
50:9. And it rains from the sky upon earth, it is blessed with the growth of various gardens on it. Also, a variety of grains are produced. You harvest them and reap the benefits.
وَٱلنَّخۡلَ بَاسِقَٰتٖ لَّهَا طَلۡعٞ نَّضِيدٞ١٠
50:10. Earth-bearing trees include tall palm trees with layered bark.
رِّزۡقٗا لِّلۡعِبَادِۖ وَأَحۡيَيۡنَا بِهِۦ بَلۡدَةٗ مَّيۡتٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡخُرُوجُ١١
50:11. All those crops are used as food for the people. In the same way, man will be resurrected after death. What difficulty it is for Allah to recreate you?
So just as Rabbu raises the earth with rainwater, so also He raises the dead community to life with His guidance.
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ١٢
50:12 It is not new that the people deny this scheme of Allah. The community of Nooh who lived before this and the communities like ‘Rass’ (see 25:38) and ‘Samoodhu’ all disproved His scheme.
وَعَادٞ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ وَإِخۡوَٰنُ لُوطٖ١٣
50:13. And similarly, the community of “Aadhu”, “Fir’aun” and “Looth” also disproved His revelations.
وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ وَقَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖۚ كُلّٞ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ١٤
50:14. And ‘Ashab-ul-Aikatha’ and the community that followed it also lied in this way. Reformists came to preach to all of them. All the precautions which Allah made through them proved to be true.
أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلۡخَلۡقِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي لَبۡسٖ مِّنۡ خَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٖ١٥
50:15. To those, who are skeptical about the resurrection after death, ask them, “Has Rabbu ever been tired of creating man from the beginning?” When He has never been so tired, what difficulty is He going to have in recreating man?
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعۡلَمُ مَا تُوَسۡوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفۡسُهُۥۖ وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِ١٦
50:16. Man's creation is a product of Rabbu's plan. So He is well aware of the aspirations and the thoughts that penetrate his mind. Because He is the one who is closest to the prime nervous system of man.
إِذۡ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلۡمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٞ١٧
50:17. And there are two recorders, one on the right hand and the other on the left, that record his good and evil in his daily activities.
This means that you can never escape the consequences of your actions.
مَّا يَلۡفِظُ مِن قَوۡلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيۡهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٞ١٨
50:18. Every word he utters is not left unregistered by the registrars.
وَجَآءَتۡ سَكۡرَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنۡهُ تَحِيدُ١٩
50:19. Thus, he continues throughout his life, and at the time when death approaches him, he comes to know that all the word of Allah is true. The situation will inform him, “This is what you were afraid of.”
No one else can realize what is happening on the verge of death. Allah makes this known to man through the guidance of Wahi. Even though the man has full freedom, he is under pressure to think and act in every aspect of his life.
وَنُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡوَعِيدِ٢٠
50:20. Arrangements have been made to resurrect him in order to continue his next phase of life. That situation will explain to him, “This is the day you were promised.”
وَجَآءَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٞ وَشَهِيدٞ٢١
50:21. It is followed by the life of the Hereafter. “This is what every reformist told you. We will bring them as witnesses.”
لَّقَدۡ كُنتَ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفۡنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ حَدِيدٞ٢٢
50:22. “But you have been indifferent to what the Reformists said. Now, the screen of "doubt" that you had is gone. You are going to see what happens now.”
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ٢٣
50:23. Then the register will say, “I have a record of each person's activities.”
أَلۡقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ٢٤
50:24. Then according to that record, all those who rejected the guidance of Rabbu and committed unrighteous deeds will be ordered to be dragged to Hell.
مَّنَّاعٖ لِّلۡخَيۡرِ مُعۡتَدٖ مُّرِيبٍ٢٥
50:25. Because they forbade to do good deeds and disregarded the life of the Hereafter and did transgressions.
ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلۡقِيَاهُ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ٢٦
50:26. “The reason they disbelieved was that they refused Allah’s guidance and set up their idols. So push them into agony.”
Then they will blame their leaders for misleading them. They will ask to call them.
۞قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطۡغَيۡتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۢ بَعِيدٖ٢٧
50:27. Then their leader would say, “O, our Rabbu! I did not mislead them, but they themselves have gone astray.”
قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُواْ لَدَيَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ إِلَيۡكُم بِٱلۡوَعِيدِ٢٨
50:28. Then do not make such a vow argument in My presence. I have already given precaution about this.”
مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٖ لِّلۡعَبِيدِ٢٩
50:29. So there is no chance of any change in my project. Accordingly, no injustice will be done to anyone. He will get the benefits and pains according to his action.
يَوۡمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمۡتَلَأۡتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلۡ مِن مَّزِيدٖ٣٠
50:30. All those who commit such unjust acts will be thrown into Hell. What the hell is going to be lacking. It will be asked if there is more space for them. It would say that it has ample space for itself. Think about this situation and act in fear of it. This Qur’an gives advance information about such things as a precaution.
وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ غَيۡرَ بَعِيدٍ٣١
50:31. But such torments will never come near to those who accept and follow Rabbu's guidance. Rather they will get their heavenly life.
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٖ٣٢
50:32. Then it will be said to them, “This is the Paradise promised to you.” Because you have always acted in accordance with the guidance of Allah. You protected yourself from sinful acts. So it is assured that you all belong to Paradise.
مَّنۡ خَشِيَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلۡبٖ مُّنِيبٍ٣٣
50:33. Therefore, Paradise will be available to those who fear the adverse consequences of acting against the Blessed One and who act in complete obedience to His guidance.
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُلُودِ٣٤
50:34. In such a paradise, you will be invited to enter very peacefully with contentment. It will also be informed that in the future you will live here.
لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيۡنَا مَزِيدٞ٣٥
50:35. They get everything they want there. They will get even more happiness.
These are the real things about hell and paradise that have been arranged for man after death. The destruction and life of societies in this world will also be taking place according to the same legal system of Allah. It also talks about the life and death of communities.
وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا فَنَقَّبُواْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ هَلۡ مِن مَّحِيصٍ٣٦
50:36. How many communities in the world that lived richly with good living facilities, have faced destruction as a result of their evil deeds. When the devastation struck, they sought refuge in many towns to escape. But they had nowhere to escape. Eventually, they perished.
So, look at world history. It will talk about the miseries of ruined countries where atrocities prevailed. If these are true, then consider and accept that the hell and paradise available after death are real.
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكۡرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلۡبٌ أَوۡ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٞ٣٧
50:37. The devastation to past societies will be a reminder to the people living now. So these lessons will be useful for those who have the mind power to think.
Apart from this, if you want evidence, think about the creation of the universe. Here are the facts about it.
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٖ٣٨
50:38. The universe, the earth, and all that are between them are created in six stages according to the grand plan of Allah. (See explanation 7:54) Allah never tires in maintaining His creations.
So what difficulty is Allah going to have in resurrecting man?
فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ ٱلۡغُرُوبِ٣٩
50:39. If they do not come forward to accept the plan of Allah beyond this, leave them in their course. May you all unite and glorify the works of your Allah. Work tirelessly from morning to evening for this.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَأَدۡبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ٤٠
50:40. After completing their duties, examine how to carry out Allah's plans at night, if needed.
وَٱسۡتَمِعۡ يَوۡمَ يُنَادِ ٱلۡمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٖ قَرِيبٖ٤١
50:41. Soon the time will come to clash with the enemy. Then everyone will have to hear the call for it.
يَوۡمَ يَسۡمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيۡحَةَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُرُوجِ٤٢
50:42. Then, they will hear the siren raised to meet on the battlefield for the sake of justice. As soon as they hear it, they will leave their home and rush to the field.
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيۡنَا ٱلۡمَصِيرُ٤٣
50:43. And life and death in the field will occur according to Our framed laws. That is, whichever category is eligible, they will get a life. The undeserving will die. Thus everyone will have to abide by the rule prescribed by Allah.
يَوۡمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ عَنۡهُمۡ سِرَاعٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشۡرٌ عَلَيۡنَا يَسِيرٞ٤٤
50:44. Then it will appear to the enemy as if the earth is splitting. They would walk fast and they cannot advance on the field. Thus, summoning them to the field is not a difficult thing for us.
نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِجَبَّارٖۖ فَذَكِّرۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ٤٥
50:45. And Allah knows best of what the refuters of guidance say. So it is his choice whether to accept the guidance or not. You cannot force them. Explain the good advice in this Quran to those who are pious.
Chapter No: 51 – Soorah: Thariyath (Dust Storm)
