Chapter No. 88 – Soorah Gashiya (The Great Delight)
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِ١
88:1. Has the news of that great renaissance which is welcomed all over the world reached you?
But some are conspiring to make the plan unfulfilled. During such a renaissance, the people in the society will be divided into two groups.
وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ٢
88:2. A section of it will be disgraced and its face will wither with shame in pain.
عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞ٣
88:3. All their efforts to thwart Our guidance will be in vain, Failure and disgrace will overwhelm them. They can never achieve the goal of success.
تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗ٤
88:4. The wrong path they have chosen will lead them to a life of torment. The pain and tragedy will be increasing.
تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖ٥
88:5. They will be given boiling water to drink. Thus, their thirst will never be quenched.
لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ٦
88:6. They will have no other food to eat except the bitter plants that stink in the coastal areas.
لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖ٧
88:7. Do you think that those foods will give energy to them? Never. They won’t even mitigate their hungry.
وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ٨
88:8. On the contrary, the quality of life of the second category will be better. Their faces will blossom full of joys.
لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞ٩
88:9. All their work will bring creative results and give them satisfaction.
فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ١٠
88:10. They will have a dignified life with all kinds of comforts and pleasures. Their life will be like paradise.
لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةٗ١١
88:11. There will be no room for a vain talk. You will never find such chats happening anywhere.
فِيهَا عَيۡنٞ جَارِيَةٞ١٢
88:12. Their living facilities will continue to multiply like perennial rivers.
فِيهَا سُرُرٞ مَّرۡفُوعَةٞ١٣
88:13. They will also hold high positions in the ruling power.
وَأَكۡوَابٞ مَّوۡضُوعَةٞ١٤
88:14. Cups with delicious drinks will be available to drink.
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةٞ١٥
88:15. They will get seating arrangements according to their positions.
وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌ١٦
88:16. Throne mattresses will also be placed.
Such an excellent community, formed under the guidance of Rabbu will be beautifully engaged in creative activities. And only they can explore the facts about the cosmic creations and their functions. They can also learn how to obey the command of Allah. Knowing how each of them works they will use to derive benefits from them. For example.
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ١٧
88:17. They explore how water-filled clouds (Ibili) gradually form. They will think of clouds carrying pure drinking water from salty seawater (45:5), with the help of air pressure moving up and down.
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ١٨
88:18. They will know how the planets and stars function in the vast sky of this universe and act accordingly.
وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ١٩
88:19. They will examine how the earth rotates so fast in the universe, and how such great mountains are fitted into the earth like nails (78: 7).
وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ٢٠
88:20. As well as the earth is spherical in shape, they will also explore how this earth is made as rugs. That is, they will explore how all the works are set up to function vertically.
Explain all these natural creations, teach the people how to create new inventions with natural resources and use them,
فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٞ٢١
88:21. Take the advice of this Qur’an to the people. Because it is your job to explain its contents.
لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ٢٢
88:22. It is not your job to force them to accept. Nor have We sent you to exercise authority over them.
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ٢٣
88:23. Those who, after you have explained the instructions of this Quran, refuse to accept them;
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ٢٤
88:24. They will be subjected to great torments according to the law, “The consequences of human action” as prescribed by Allah.
إِنَّ إِلَيۡنَآ إِيَابَهُمۡ٢٥
88:25. By rejecting the advice of this Quran, they can never escape that torment. Because every action is going to have consequences according to the rules set by Him. After that, no one can go out anywhere.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُم٢٦
88:26. So the accounts of all their deeds fall into Our legal circle. Make these facts clear to people.
