بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَوۡفُواْ بِٱلۡعُقُودِۚ أُحِلَّتۡ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ غَيۡرَ مُحِلِّي ٱلصَّيۡدِ وَأَنتُمۡ حُرُمٌۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحۡكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ١
5:1. O Followers of Allah’s guidance! Come and fulfill the promise you made to Allah that you would be completely submissive to His guidance. Accordingly, everything except what is forbidden in food items (see 5:3) is declared permissible. During Hajj, however, hunting cattle is forbidden there. The reason is that it may cause many problems to those who come there. Surely this is the command of Allah's Regime.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُحِلُّواْ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهۡرَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ
5:2. O Followers of Allah’s guidance! Do not insult the places that symbolize the regime of Allah. As well as a ban on the war for a few months. Do not criticize it mockingly either.
وَلَا ٱلۡهَدۡيَ وَلَا ٱلۡقَلَٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلۡبَيۡتَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ يَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلٗا مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَرِضۡوَٰنٗاۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلۡتُمۡ فَٱصۡطَادُواْۚ
Do not misuse gift items like food materials collected for those who come there for Hajj, the international conference for global peace. Make appropriate security arrangements for those who come there to seek the guidance of Allah. These are the advice of Allah. Take care of these. After the end of the Hajj, you can hunt animals as per your custom.
وَلَا يَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنََٔانُ قَوۡمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ أَن تَعۡتَدُواْۘ وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلۡبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٰنِۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ٢
You may have the utmost hatred for the enemies who previously attacked the Kaaba and prevented the people from coming there. Now, that place has come under your control. Do not indulge in oppressive activities against them during the Hajj and cause problems there. (See 48:45) Fear Allah and help one another in good deeds. Do not engage in any evil activities that disrupt social harmony. Follow the guidance of Allah. This is because the law of "the ultimate result of human action" prescribed by Allah is very firm.
حُرِّمَتۡ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَيۡتَةُ وَٱلدَّمُ وَلَحۡمُ ٱلۡخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيۡرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ وَٱلۡمُنۡخَنِقَةُ وَٱلۡمَوۡقُوذَةُ وَٱلۡمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَٱلنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَآ أَكَلَ ٱلسَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيۡتُمۡ
5:3. Also in the case of food items, the following are prohibited. The flesh of the automatically dead animals, flowing blood, pork, slaughtered without mentioning the name of Allah, those which were strangled to death, beaten to death, fallen to the ground, mutilated, and bitten by wild animals are all prohibited to you. If you find any of these alive, you can slaughter them immediately and eat them. But there is nothing wrong with eating such prohibited items if you are stuck in unavoidable situations in terms of food. (See 2:172-174 & 6:145)
وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى ٱلنُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسۡتَقۡسِمُواْ بِٱلۡأَزۡلَٰمِۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ فِسۡقٌۗ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ يَئِسَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن دِينِكُمۡ فَلَا تَخۡشَوۡهُمۡ وَٱخۡشَوۡنِۚ
Apart from this, sacrifices for worship, slaughter on altars, Funds manipulation, and self-divination are all sinful acts. So, these are also banned. No one can interfere in these rules anymore. So, fear the impacts when guidance is not followed, and do not be afraid of the objections of the critics of the people.
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي
Thus, rules and regulations have been decisively updated about all matters of guidance now and forever. Guidance from Allah is complete today. The blessings of His guidance are complete. (Ref. 6:115)
وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمَ دِينٗاۚ فَمَنِ ٱضۡطُرَّ فِي مَخۡمَصَةٍ غَيۡرَ مُتَجَانِفٖ لِّإِثۡمٖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ٣
Allah has proposed for you the guidance of “Islam” which is meant “to protect the welfare of people at large.” (Ref. 3:19) No other way of life can exist permanently in this world except this. (Ref. 3:85) All the advice of Allah is for the welfare and safety of total mankind. This is the greatest grace of Allah.
If you study human history, you can divide it into primitive man, stone age man, metal age man, and modern scientific man. It can be compared to Man's childhood, boyhood, adolescence, and adulthood. He needs guidance from the child until he reaches adolescence. Similarly, reformists guided people were sent from time to time who lived from the stone age to the modern scientific age and gave them the guidance he needed. When the man entered the modern scientific age, guidance was finally given through Muhammad Nabi.
Anyone from any part of the world can follow this guidance in all future times and achieve the goal of success in their life. This is what Allah’s plan is. In the modern age, man's capabilities have grown up widely, and are qualified to sustain this world smoothly. That is why the revelation series has been declared complete. (See 33:40).
Although man has many scientific developments, he must accept the guidance of Allah to build and maintain humanity and moral dignity in the world. Apart from this, there is no other way to solve his social problems. If he refuses to accept His guidance, he will become addicted to his own desires. This is why hatred and conflict exist between nations in the world today. He does not use scientific discoveries creatively, but he misuses large amounts of effort for destruction.
يَسَۡٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمۡۖ قُلۡ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ وَمَا عَلَّمۡتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ
5:4. O, Reformist! They ask you which of the food items are allowed. Tell them that all food items except prohibited ones (5:3) are allowed to eat. Further, all foods that are hygienic and healthy are allowed to eat. As Allah has revealed to you, you can eat the animals hunted by the birds to which you have trained.
فَكُلُواْ مِمَّآ أَمۡسَكۡنَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهِۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ٤
However, when you set out for a hunt, realize that you are fulfilling Allah's plans and send them in the name of Allah. Always be afraid of adverse impacts, if you do not follow the guidance of Allah. Explain to them that no one can doubt that Allah's plan is very subtle in accounting.
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُۖ وَطَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ حِلّٞ لَّكُمۡ وَطَعَامُكُمۡ حِلّٞ لَّهُمۡۖ
5:5. Today, all clean and hygienic healthy foods are declared permissible. You can also use foods that are used by people of other Scriptures except what is forbidden to you.
وَٱلۡمُحۡصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ وَٱلۡمُحۡصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ إِذَآ ءَاتَيۡتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحۡصِنِينَ غَيۡرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِيٓ أَخۡدَانٖۗ وَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بِٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدۡ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ٥
Then come to the rules for Family Affairs. You can marry chaste women who have accepted Allah’s guidance. You can also marry well-educated chaste women who are among the previously given Scriptures. But no one should keep her for the mere satisfaction of your lust. Give her the gift of life-supporting material called ‘Mahar’ and make her a formal wife. Those who act against these commandments will seek their own destruction. And the consequences of their actions will be at a great loss in the future.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا قُمۡتُمۡ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغۡسِلُواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ وَأَيۡدِيَكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡمَرَافِقِ وَٱمۡسَحُواْ بِرُءُوسِكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡكَعۡبَيۡنِۚ
5:6. O followers of Allah’s guidance! You should always maintain cleanliness. If you are to join the campaign meeting of Allah’s guidance, wash your face, both hands up to the elbows, both feet up to the ankles, and clean your head.
وَإِن كُنتُمۡ جُنُبٗا فَٱطَّهَّرُواْۚوَإِن كُنتُم مَّرۡضَىٰٓ أَوۡ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوۡ جَآءَ أَحَدٞ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡغَآئِطِ أَوۡ لَٰمَسۡتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمۡ تَجِدُواْ مَآءٗ فَتَيَمَّمُواْ صَعِيدٗا طَيِّبٗا فَٱمۡسَحُواْ بِوُجُوهِكُمۡ وَأَيۡدِيكُم مِّنۡهُۚ
If you are in a marital relationship, take a bath and clean yourself. In case you are sick or on travel or engaged in sexual intercourse and if you do not have access to water, wipe your face and hands with clean material (see 4:43)
مَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيَجۡعَلَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّنۡ حَرَجٖ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمۡ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعۡمَتَهُۥ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ٦
Such advice is given so that you are always accustomed to being clean. And Allah does not want to put you in hardship. You are given such guidelines to be faithful and grateful to Him. As you become pure, pure thoughts and interdependence in society will grow among you.
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَمِيثَٰقَهُ ٱلَّذِي وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذۡ قُلۡتُمۡ سَمِعۡنَا وَأَطَعۡنَاۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ٧
5:7. And always remember that the blessing of Allah - “Revealing the Guidance” and the promise you made with Allah to abide by it. So, follow Allah's guidance, as you said, “We will listen to the guidance and live according to them.” Remember that anything done against the guidance will have its adverse effects. Verily, whatever the ideas or plans that run in your mind will never escape the knowledge of Allah.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَلَا يَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنََٔانُ قَوۡمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعۡدِلُواْۚ ٱعۡدِلُواْ هُوَ أَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ٨
5:8. O followers of Allah’s guidance! You should always uphold justice in order to maintain social equality as per the advice of Allah. You should prove to be a witness to a neutral society. There should be no room for views of likes and dislikes. Even if the plaintiff or the defendant belongs to an opponent community, your hatred should not be an obstacle to justice, if the rightness is in their favor. Do not abandon justice for any reason. This is the best way to achieve the highest ambition of life. So, fear Allah. Remember that everything you do does not go unnoticed by Allah.
وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ وَأَجۡرٌ عَظِيمٞ٩
5:9. Thus, it is the promise of Allah that those who accept His guidance and act with creativity in the best way, will get a safe life without any problems. Isn’t it immensely rewarding to be available like this?
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِنَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ١٠
5:10. On the contrary, those who reject and deny Our guidance and act against it will experience many problems in their lives and become unresolved hell dwellers.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ هَمَّ قَوۡمٌ أَن يَبۡسُطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡكُمۡ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ فَكَفَّ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ عَنكُمۡۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ١١
5:11. O followers of Allah’s guidance! when the enemies recently tried to harm you, Our Regime prevented it from happening. This is the evidence to Our statement that you can get protection in your life. Consider what a great blessing Allah has bestowed upon you. So, fear the evil consequences of acting against the guidance of Allah. Keeping complete trust in the guidance of Allah, do not abandon the code of justice.
۞وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثۡنَا مِنۡهُمُ ٱثۡنَيۡ عَشَرَ نَقِيبٗاۖ
5:12. It is not new that We take a pledge like this. From earlier time onwards, we have taken vows through Reformists from various communities. Just like that, We took such a promise from the Bani Israel community. We divided the region into twelve divisions for administrative facilities and entrusted them with competent leaders to manage them. They also took the oath of office to act accordingly.
وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّي مَعَكُمۡۖ لَئِنۡ أَقَمۡتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيۡتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرۡتُمُوهُمۡ وَأَقۡرَضۡتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمۡ سَئَِّاتِكُمۡ
That is, “Surely, we are all always under the surveillance of Allah. As per the command of Allah, we will maintain the moral values of the society and establish the system of "Salath" which works for social harmony. We will help it from their wealth for the betterment of the community. We will also formally follow the By-Laws of the Reformist to guide the community. If we forward financial help to the regime of Allah, we will surely get such an atmosphere that will give us a safe life without any danger or fear.
وَلَأُدۡخِلَنَّكُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمۡ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ١٢
“We will have ample opportunities to develop into a prosperous society with more generous economic facilities. This is how our society will become a paradise.” So, they were warned that if anyone acted against these assurances, he would be considered to have gone astray.
فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ لَعَنَّٰهُمۡ وَجَعَلۡنَا قُلُوبَهُمۡ قَٰسِيَةٗۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلۡكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ
5:13. They performed their duties as per the guidance and the community prospered very fast. (see 2:47) But later on, they gradually started deviating from the guidance, ignoring the promises they had made to Allah and so they lost the blessings of Allah. (See 8:53) This made them very hard-heartened as per the Laws of Allah.
وَنَسُواْ حَظّٗا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنۡهُمۡۖ
They did not give importance to the teachings of Guidelines and failed to value them. They also brought about changes in most of the advice. Now you can observe many scams which most of them are committing. Even after informing them about, they don’t seem to be paying any attention to it.
فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡفَحۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ١٣
So, leave them to behave as per their wishes. The law of Allah will take care of them. Pay your attention to good deeds you have to do on your part. There is no doubt that those who do beautiful good deeds will get the blessings and helps of Allah.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَهُمۡ فَنَسُواْ حَظّٗا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَأَغۡرَيۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمُ ٱلۡعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ وَسَوۡفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ١٤
5:14. This is the state of the Israeli community. And those who call themselves "Christians" have made similar promises to Allah. But they too, over time have neglected much of Allah’s guidance. Thus, their unity was disrupted and divided into many factions. Hostility and hatred have grown permanently between them. When the regime is formed according to these Qur’anic instructions, they will know what their true status is.
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ قَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمۡ كَثِيرٗا مِّمَّا كُنتُمۡ تُخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَيَعۡفُواْ عَن كَثِيرٖۚ قَدۡ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٞ وَكِتَٰبٞ مُّبِينٞ١٥
5:15. O followers of the Previous Revelations! Eliminate the differences between you and follow this Qur’anic advice. Follow the reformist who explains it in detail. He brings out the true status of the advice which you have been hiding so far. He advises you to give up unnecessary rituals that you follow. Know that the Scripture has come to you which shows the right path to your enlightened life. Accept it, act accordingly and get benefits.
يَهۡدِي بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضۡوَٰنَهُۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيُخۡرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذۡنِهِۦ وَيَهۡدِيهِمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ١٦
5:16. All of you get guidance from Allah through these Scriptural instructions. When any community that follows these instructions will attain secure and peaceful life and with that the Will of Allah will become clear. Thus, they will come out of the darkness of ignorance and move towards the enlightened life. And the guidance of Allah will pave the ways and means to get the right part in their life.
لَّقَدۡ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَۚ قُلۡ فَمَن يَمۡلِكُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيًۡٔا إِنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يُهۡلِكَ ٱلۡمَسِيحَ ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥ وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗاۗ
5:17. With the same concept, the great scholar, Easa, son of Maryam, came to guide the people of the world. There is no truth in calling him Allah or the Son of Allah. In this way, they are misleading people. Let alone the Scholar or his mother Maryam, if Allah wishes to destroy everything in the world, no one can stop it.
وَلِلَّهِ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاۚ يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ١٧
All creations which are in the galaxies, what all on the earth, and all that are between them, are working to fulfill Allah's plans only. All creations are created according to the plans of Allah. He does not include anyone else to assist Him. Allah has set the rules for processing every action of all creations. So no one can stop the evil effects caused by your wrong actions. Explain this to them.
وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ نَحۡنُ أَبۡنَٰٓؤُاْ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّٰٓؤُهُۥۚ قُلۡ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُمۖ
5:18. Until now, Jews and Christians have been criticizing each other. (See 2:113) Now, these two communities together are telling you to become either a Jew or a Christian. (See 2: 135) They also claim themselves as the beloved children of Allah. Then ask them, “why Allah is tormenting you for your sinful deeds?
بَلۡ أَنتُم بَشَرٞ مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقَۚ يَغۡفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاۖ وَإِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ١٨
What you all claim is not true. You are just like any other human being in the world, not a unique creation. It is not fair for anyone to be discriminated against each other. Whether to get a safe life without dangers or be caught up in a miserable life is determined by your actions. This is the standard law established by the Will of Allah. So all that has been created in the galaxies, the earth, and those between them are in the control of Allah”. Explain to them that they too will eventually have to live up to His legal plans.
After Easa Nabi passed away, your activities slowed down due to the non-arrival of the Messengers of Allah to reform society by giving His guidance. So, Reformist Muhammad Nabi has come after him.
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ قَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمۡ عَلَىٰ فَتۡرَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُواْ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنۢ بَشِيرٖ وَلَا نَذِيرٖۖ فَقَدۡ جَآءَكُم بَشِيرٞ وَنَذِيرٞۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ١٩
5:19. O, Followers of the Previous Book! Our Messenger has come to tell you the good news that will be available for every good deed you do and to warn you of the evil consequences of wrongdoing. This arrangement is made so that you cannot find lame excuses that no one has come to guide you. (See 4: 165) So, the guidance has been revealed to you. Know that Allah has full control of every creation of the world.
The duty of the Messengers of Allah is entrusted to the followers of the guidance. (See 3:144) And the main duty of the leaders and scholars of the Islamic community is to study and follow the guidance of Allah and to convey it to others. (3:104)
وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ جَعَلَ فِيكُمۡ أَنۢبِيَآءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكٗا وَءَاتَىٰكُم مَّا لَمۡ يُؤۡتِ أَحَدٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ٢٠
5:20. O Followers of the Previous Book! Many Reformists came to you before Easa Nabi. Reformist Moosa Nabi was one in that line. Many Reformists who came before him and after him have lived like kings and great rulers. You led a better life, gaining all the resources and privileges that no other community had at that time. You attained this by following Allah’s guidance (See 2:47) Consider how great the blessings of Allah are. Reformist Moosa Nabi also made this clear to you.
But now you are doing all the wrong things by saying that we are the beloved children of Allah.
يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِي كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ وَلَا تَرۡتَدُّواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَدۡبَارِكُمۡ فَتَنقَلِبُواْ خَٰسِرِينَ٢١
5:21. At one stage, Reformist Moosa Nabi called on his people to go into the prosperous territory provided by Allah and create a better society. (See: 2:58) He asked them not to reject his call and run away. He warned that you will be at a huge loss if you do so.
قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوۡمٗا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدۡخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخۡرُجُواْ مِنۡهَا فَإِن يَخۡرُجُواْ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّا دَٰخِلُونَ٢٢
5:22. But they were very cowardly. They said, “O Moosa! Virtually everyone who lives there is found to be very powerful. So, we will not go until they were ousted from there. If they leave that place, we will enter.”
قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمَا ٱدۡخُلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلۡتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمۡ غَٰلِبُونَۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓاْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ٢٣
5:23. Among them, only two were brave. Both of them had all the qualifications according to the decree of Allah. (They were Moosa Nabi and his brother Haroon Nabi.) They both said to them, “Come with us boldly up to the border of that town. If you cross that line, then you are the winner. If you are the true followers, then move forward with full faith with the arrangements which Allah has made.
قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدۡخُلَهَآ أَبَدٗا مَّا دَامُواْ فِيهَا فَٱذۡهَبۡ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَٰتِلَآ إِنَّا هَٰهُنَا قَٰعِدُونَ٢٤
5:24. But they said to Moosa, “We will never go there until they are there. If you want, you and your brother go and fight them. Until then, we will just sit here.”
The word ‘Rubbu’ is mentioned in this verse. Rabbu also means elder brother.
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لَآ أَمۡلِكُ إِلَّا نَفۡسِي وَأَخِيۖ فَٱفۡرُقۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ٢٥
5:25. Moosa prayed to Allah, “I am unable to bring anyone under my control except my brother. Guide me as to what I should do at this juncture among the people who go in wrong directions.”
قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡۛ أَرۡبَعِينَ سَنَةٗۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ فَلَا تَأۡسَ عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ٢٦
5:26. Allah said, “If that be their position, the opportunity to rule that country will be postponed for forty years as per the Pre-Directed Laws of Allah. The reason is that they are not qualified for anything. So leave them alone and prepare the next generation to make them worthy. All of them will have to keep wandering in this world. There is no point in worrying about them.”
Forty years is said to be for a generation. It is therefore advisable to leave this generation and create the next generation of youth.
۞وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ ٱبۡنَيۡ ءَادَمَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ إِذۡ قَرَّبَا قُرۡبَانٗا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنۡ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمۡ يُتَقَبَّلۡ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقۡتُلَنَّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ٢٧
5:27. And Bani Israel has been in the habit of telling a story in their community. We narrate its true status as thus: ‘Adam’ had two sons. They offered tribute to Allah according to their faith and tested whose gifts get accepted. The story says that one person's gift was accepted and another's gift was ignored. The second man got angry and said, “I will kill you.” For that, the former replied, “Indeed, Allah accepts the offerings only from the pious.”
We make it clear again that this is just a story. Because there is no room for accepting or not accepting offerings in the way of Allah.
لَئِنۢ بَسَطتَ إِلَيَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقۡتُلَنِي مَآ أَنَا۠ بِبَاسِطٖ يَدِيَ إِلَيۡكَ لِأَقۡتُلَكَۖ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ٢٨
5:28. And the story says: He said, "Even if you decide to kill me, it is your choice. I will try to prevent it. But I will not do such a perverse act as you. Because I fear Allah, the Nourisher of the worlds.”
إِنِّيٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثۡمِي وَإِثۡمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُاْ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ٢٩
5:29. The story says: “So let this unjust act be from your side. Because by preventing it, if you are harmed let its sin be upon you. Even if I am killed, let its sin be yours. So, you will become one of the inmates of hell anyway. This is the punishment for the unjust.”
فَطَوَّعَتۡ لَهُۥ نَفۡسُهُۥ قَتۡلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصۡبَحَ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ٣٠
5:30. The story says: But the latter’s mind did not listen to his brother and induced to kill him. So, he killed his brother and thus he sought his own destruction.
فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابٗا يَبۡحَثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيۡفَ يُوَٰرِي سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيهِۚ قَالَ يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِثۡلَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِيَ سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيۖ فَأَصۡبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ٣١
5:31. The story says: At that time Allah sent a crow and taught him how to dig a pit and cover the corpse. Then the murderer felt sorry that “At least I should have attained the knowledge of this crow which has given a lesson to me. If that were the case, I too would have hidden my brother's dead body. I wish I should not have become one of the losers.”
O Intellectuals! Did you notice? The killer has no worries about the murder. The story goes about covering the body of the victim. This is why the story tells, that Allah enacted the law as follows:
مِنۡ أَجۡلِ ذَٰلِكَ كَتَبۡنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنَّهُۥ مَن قَتَلَ نَفۡسَۢا بِغَيۡرِ نَفۡسٍ أَوۡ فَسَادٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعٗا وَمَنۡ أَحۡيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَآ أَحۡيَا ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعٗاۚ
5:32. Because of this, the Law was proclaimed to the Israelis, “Whoever kills anyone unjustly for no reason or does riots will be considered to have killed the entire human race. In the same way, whoever saves others from misery will be considered to have saved the whole of human society.”
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُنَا بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُم بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَمُسۡرِفُونَ٣٢
The Reformists who came one after another continuously taught them legitimate legal plans, since most of the Israelis had been involved in illegal activities and causing chaos in the society.
That is to say, the Reformists brought about only intellectual legal terms. But over time, the clergies tried to distract people by telling different stories about the background to the revelations of those laws. That is why they have been telling the above story.
That is, first of all, there is no room for talk of accepting or rejecting the gift by Allah. But the story says the opposite.
Secondly, they say that Allah sent the crow and taught him how to hide the corpse. But nowhere in the world does any crow ever dig a hole and bury the dead crow.
Thirdly, the killer must have worried about the unjust murder he committed. But he worries about covering up the corpse. So, they are telling such stories to distract people.
Muslims too narrate "Shane Nuzool" “that is why and under which circumstances”, "this verse" was revealed. They bring guidance into the short-term circle, while it should exist until the day the world exists. As time goes on, the story stays among the people. The law disappears from them.
إِنَّمَا جَزَٰٓؤُاْ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَسۡعَوۡنَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوٓاْ أَوۡ يُصَلَّبُوٓاْ أَوۡ تُقَطَّعَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَأَرۡجُلُهُم مِّنۡ خِلَٰفٍ أَوۡ يُنفَوۡاْ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمۡ خِزۡيٞ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ٣٣
5:33. And the Rules also said, “Those who act against the guidance of Allah and the by-laws enacted by the governing body based on it and cause chaos in society will get severe punishment. The maximum penalty for these is severe punishment, such as hanging, amputation of limbs, or deportation. Isn’t this the greatest disgrace to them? Not only that, but they will suffer even more in life after death”.
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تَقۡدِرُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ٣٤
5:34. It will be better for them if they rectify themselves from their wrongdoings before you gain the position to control them. When this Regime progresses to the fullest extent, they cannot recover from the aforesaid punishments. Let them not miss this opportunity given to them. Revealing guidelines for the benefit and safety of people from all walks of life reflects the great mercy of Allah.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبۡتَغُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ وَجَٰهِدُواْ فِي سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ٣٥
5:35. O followers of Allah’s guidance! You should always work as per the guidance of Allah. Find a way to get to the top through the way which He has shown to you. You do good deeds and dedicate yourself to it and extend your helping hand as far as you can to make the Regime fine (17:57). Thus, you are assured of success.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا وَمِثۡلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لِيَفۡتَدُواْ بِهِۦ مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ٣٦
5:36. On the contrary, those who act against the guidance of Allah will never be able to save themselves from the consequences of their evil deeds. Even if they give away all the wealth they have earned in the world or even more, they could not escape from punishments. They will have a painful retribution.
يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخۡرُجُواْ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنۡهَاۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّقِيمٞ٣٧
5:37. They will seek to get relief from the torments of hell. But they can't get out of it. The pain they get will be constant.
Next to that, laws should be enacted to eradicate theft to maintain social harmony. The thief or the culprits must be punished according to the crime he has committed. To eradicate theft, it is necessary to know the causes and take preventive measures. Thus the stealing hands will be prevented from stealing.
وَٱلسَّارِقُ وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ فَٱقۡطَعُوٓاْ أَيۡدِيَهُمَا جَزَآءَۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَٰلٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٞ٣٨
5:38. Even after that, if a person continues to commit theft, the Islamic court will investigate and impose the maximum sentence of chopping his hand. This will be a lesson to others. Surely the guidance of Allah is Wise.
فَمَن تَابَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ظُلۡمِهِۦ وَأَصۡلَحَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيۡهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٌ٣٩
5:39. Those who have been unjust, and those who repent that they will no longer engage in such acts, are given the opportunity to repent and live as per the law of Allah. Surely the guidance of Allah is to protect people from all walks of life and to be merciful.
أَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَغۡفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ٤٠
5:40. Don’t you realize that everything in the universe and the earth operates under the authority of Allah? Those who go astray and act against the fixed laws of Allah will be in torment. Those who act according to His guidance will find a safe and peaceful life. So let them know that Allah has full control over all creations.
۞يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحۡزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡكُفۡرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَلَمۡ تُؤۡمِن قُلُوبُهُمۡۛ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْۛ
5:41. O Messenger of Allah’s guidance! People who come to you have diverse mindsets. Some do not mentally accept, but say, "We have accepted the guidance of Allah." Some are from the present Jewish community.
سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلۡكَذِبِ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِقَوۡمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمۡ يَأۡتُوكَۖ
They are also those who have a habit of listening to myths and fiction. There are some who inform those who do not come to you and tell them what they have heard.
يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلۡكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦۖ
And there are those who listen to the advice of the Scriptures and fabricate false news in it.
يَقُولُونَ إِنۡ أُوتِيتُمۡ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمۡ تُؤۡتَوۡهُ فَٱحۡذَرُواْۚ
Some say, “When the Reformist says the same thing we have announced, accept it. Or if he says something other than what we said, avoid it. ”
وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ فِتۡنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمۡلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيًۡٔاۚ
You should never worry about such people (See:18:6) as you cannot correct anyone who decides to go astray instead of following the guidance of Allah.
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمۡۚ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا خِزۡيٞۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ٤١
As per the Pre-Directed Laws of Allah, the minds of such people are seldom given the opportunity to attain purity. So, their worldly temporary life will be disgraceful and their future stable life will be severely miserable.
سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلۡكَذِبِ أَكَّٰلُونَ لِلسُّحۡتِۚ فَإِن جَآءُوكَ فَٱحۡكُم بَيۡنَهُمۡ أَوۡ أَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡهُمۡۖ وَإِن تُعۡرِضۡ عَنۡهُمۡ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيۡٔٗاۖ وَإِنۡ حَكَمۡتَ فَٱحۡكُم بَيۡنَهُم بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُقۡسِطِينَ٤٢
5:42. And such people are accustomed to hearing stories and fiction. They seek pleasure in accumulating others’ properties in an unjust manner. If these people come to you and ask for a solution to their problems, there is no compulsion for you to guide them, and further, they cannot cause great harm to you; however, if you judge between them, justice should be according to the law of Allah. Surely Allah is always in favor of the righteous people.
وَكَيۡفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكۡمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَۚ وَمَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ٤٣
5:43. And when they have the Thowrath, how will they come to you to solve their problems? In it are the commands of Allah. If the commands in it are not in their favor, they will come to you and ask about it. If you give them the same command,
they will ignore it. So, they are not prepared to follow you.
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَا ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ فِيهَا هُدٗى وَنُورٞۚ يَحۡكُمُ بِهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسۡلَمُواْ لِلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلۡأَحۡبَارُ بِمَا ٱسۡتُحۡفِظُواْ مِن كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُواْ عَلَيۡهِ شُهَدَآءَۚ
5:44. The revelations in the Torah were given by Us only. It clearly showed the most perfect path to the enlightened life of man. All the Reformists who lived under the guidance of Allah used it to give solutions to the problems of the Jews. The social activists and theologians who acted according to the command of Allah were asked to follow and preserve the Scriptures of Allah. They also testified to the fact that they were guided to a brighter life by practicing the teachings of guidance. So, people were solving the problems according to those Scriptural instructions.
فَلَا تَخۡشَوُاْ ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱخۡشَوۡنِ وَلَا تَشۡتَرُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِي ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلٗاۚ وَمَن لَّمۡ يَحۡكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ٤٤
Those who accepted the guidance were also instructed not to act in fear of people. Act in fear of Me. Do not disregard My advice for temporary gains. Those who do not render justice according to the Scriptures inspired by Allah will be included in the list of anti-Islamists.
وَكَتَبۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ فِيهَآ أَنَّ ٱلنَّفۡسَ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ وَٱلۡعَيۡنَ بِٱلۡعَيۡنِ وَٱلۡأَنفَ بِٱلۡأَنفِ وَٱلۡأُذُنَ بِٱلۡأُذُنِ وَٱلسِّنَّ بِٱلسِّنِّ وَٱلۡجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٞۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٞ لَّهُۥۚ وَمَن لَّمۡ يَحۡكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ٤٥
5:45. And in the Scripture given to them, We had instructed to adhere to justice with the utmost strictness. We advised them that the death penalty should be awarded for cruel murder and that justice should be done in a very precise and honest manner, eye for an eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, and tooth for a tooth. We had advised them to impose a penalty of injury equivalent to injury caused. However, if the victim permits to excuse the culprit knowing the situation, he will get multiple benefits. So, those who do not render justice according to the Scriptures revealed by Allah will be included in the list of the unjust people.
وَقَفَّيۡنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم بِعِيسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡيَمَ مُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدٗى وَنُورٞ وَمُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَهُدٗى وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ٤٦
5:46. Similarly, Easa Nabi, son of Maryam, who was in the line of reformists, came to preach the guidance of the Torah which was revealed earlier. He tried his best to prove it to be true to the world. We gave him the Scriptural counsel, the Bible, on the same basis. That too was the beacon of light that guided the radiant life of mankind. It was based on the guiding ahead of the Torah that preceded him. It was a guide and advice to those who live in obedience to Allah.
وَلۡيَحۡكُمۡ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡإِنجِيلِ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِۚ وَمَن لَّمۡ يَحۡكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ٤٧
5:47. Therefore, it was the command of Allah to render justice to the disputes of the people according to the instructions given in the Bible. It was said that those who do not rule and render justice according to the Scriptural instructions given by Allah, will be treated as great sinners.
But instead of rendering justice according to Allah’s guidance, the Jews and Christians set up their own governing rules in the course of time as per their desires. They set a false precedent by judging according to the Shariah law which they had established in their favor (see 4:60).
وَأَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ مُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَمُهَيۡمِنًا عَلَيۡهِۖ فَٱحۡكُم بَيۡنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّۚ لِكُلّٖ جَعَلۡنَا مِنكُمۡ شِرۡعَةٗ وَمِنۡهَاجٗاۚ
5:48. O, Reformist! Do not do that. We have given you guidance that shows the right path of human life. This is an indication of the true nature of the Scriptural counsel they have. So, judge according to this scripture which Allah has revealed. Follow the guidance that shows the straight path to the better life of humanity and do not follow the will and pleasure of the people. To every community that has ever lived in the world, We have revealed the same righteousness and guidance.
وَلَوۡ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمۡ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ فِي مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمۡۖ
As for the other creatures in the world they live according to their natural rules which We have imposed. The Man too could have been made to live in the same manner. But Our action plan has not been like that. It was Our plan to give man complete freedom and to give guidance through the Reformists. So We devised such an action plan as to examine who among the peoples of the world do follow Our guidance, live better and who reject it and seek destruction. (See 67: 2)
فَٱسۡتَبِقُواْ ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ جَمِيعٗا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ٤٨
So, you go ahead with constructive good deeds. This guidance will be the best way for you to lead people to a pleasant life in the world. If you avoid this, there is no other way to support you. So, if everyone works together according to Allah’s guidance, you will gradually reach the highest level by eliminating the differences that exist among the people.
وَأَنِ ٱحۡكُم بَيۡنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ وَٱحۡذَرۡهُمۡ أَن يَفۡتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعۡضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيۡكَۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَٱعۡلَمۡ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعۡضِ ذُنُوبِهِمۡۗ
5:49. So follow the legal procedures and issue judgments to the people according to this Scripture which Allah has revealed. Do not follow the opinions and will of the people. They want to divert you from some of Allah's guidance. Do not give any space for it Act with extreme caution. So let all of them know that if they do not accept your judgment, the consequences of their sinful deeds will lead them to destruction.
وَإِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَفَٰسِقُونَ٤٩
Because most people are misguided due to a lack of Allah’s guidance. One of the main tasks of the governing body is to bring the people to live according to this guidance.
أَفَحُكۡمَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِيَّةِ يَبۡغُونَۚ وَمَنۡ أَحۡسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حُكۡمٗا لِّقَوۡمٖ يُوقِنُونَ٥٠
5:50. So, most of the people want to follow their age-old rules and regulations. Ask them, “Who else can give a better rule than Allah? Do you want me to follow age-old theories?” This fact can only be understood by those who have accepted His guidance.
۞يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ ٱلۡيَهُودَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَۘ بَعۡضُهُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءُ بَعۡضٖۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمۡ فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنۡهُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ٥١
5:51. O followers of Allah’s guidance! Do not take Jews and Christians as counselors who act with enmity in matters of Allah’s ruling authority and the legal procedures. Both of the communities work together to mislead you. So be very careful with this matter. Beyond that, if someone has a relationship with them for security reasons, he or she will also be considered guilty of joining. Know that the unjust people will have no chance of getting the guidance of Allah.
فَتَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٞ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِيهِمۡ يَقُولُونَ نَخۡشَىٰٓ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٞۚ فَعَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأۡتِيَ بِٱلۡفَتۡحِ أَوۡ أَمۡرٖ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦ فَيُصۡبِحُواْ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَسَرُّواْ فِيٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ نَٰدِمِينَ٥٢
5:52. Because, for those who are accustomed to living among them, this commandment will be hard to accept. So, they will rush to each other – Jews and Christians for some reason or the other. They say, “If we disconnect relationship from each other, we will be the losers. We are afraid of that.” Tell them, “The time is not far when this system will succeed according to the framed laws of Allah. There are many rewards for being a part of this social system and to those who support it. Then whatever they do or hide in their minds will come to light. They will be very sorry to think of what they did.”
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَقۡسَمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ جَهۡدَ أَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمَعَكُمۡۚ حَبِطَتۡ أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ خَٰسِرِينَ٥٣
5:53. At a time when they are being identified and humiliated, the social activist will look at them and ask, “Are these the people who once swore by Allah that we are with you.?” As such, all their promises and illegal activities did not go unnoticed. So now they have become losers. ”
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَن يَرۡتَدَّ مِنكُمۡ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوۡفَ يَأۡتِي ٱللَّهُ بِقَوۡمٖ يُحِبُّهُمۡ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ يُجَٰهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوۡمَةَ لَآئِمٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ٥٤
5:54. O followers of Allah’s guidance! If your community deviates from this guidance, the consequences will be yours and not Allah's. Then the governing responsibilities will be handed over to other communities that will act as per the guidance of Allah, instead of you. They will have the support of Allah. They will be polite to those who support their regime. They will never be with those who act against it. They will not be afraid of the blasphemy of the slanderers. This is the grace of Allah. So, Allah’s blessings are infinite for those who act according to His will. Surely the guidance of Allah is vast and is based on intellect.
إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُمۡ رَٰكِعُونَ٥٥
5:55. And the things that will give you constant support are the guidance of Allah and the constitutional by-laws that are formulated on their basis. In addition, the followers of His guidance who support this, will uphold the moral values, establish the governing system, “Salath” to prevent evil, devise social welfare programs and extend a helping hand to implement them. These are the ones who are submissive to Allah.
وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ فَإِنَّ حِزۡبَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ٥٦
5:56. Those who wholeheartedly support the guidance of Allah, the by-laws that govern the state and the social activists who dedicate themselves to enforcing it are listed as "Hezbollah Activists". They are the ones who could get controlling powers over everyone else.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ دِينَكُمۡ هُزُوٗا وَلَعِبٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَٱلۡكُفَّارَ أَوۡلِيَآءَۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ٥٧
5:57. O followers of Allah’s guidance! Do not take the Guidelines as a mockery or sportive. Do not have a close friendship with those who have harmed it and those who act against the guidance of Allah. If you truly accept the guidance of Allah, then fear the impact of what would happen as per His framed Laws.
وَإِذَا نَادَيۡتُمۡ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوٗا وَلَعِبٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَوۡمٞ لَّا يَعۡقِلُونَ٥٨
5:58. When they are invited to attend campaign meetings to receive the teachings of Allah, they take it as a mockery and time-pass amusements. Such communities are the ones who have lost the ability to think intellectually.
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ هَلۡ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنۡ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَأَنَّ أَكۡثَرَكُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ٥٩
5:59. Tell them, “O followers of the previous Scripture! Why are you blaming us? Is there anything other than the fact that we accept this Qur’an as guided by Allah while it is based on previous Scriptures which you have? We invite you to seek the elevation and guidance of human dignity. But you prefer to go astray!”
5:63. Should not their religious scholars and clergies instruct them not to use inappropriate words or eat those which is forbidden? But they are not doing that. Because they are also involved in such sinful acts.
Followers of Guidance are often urged for financial and material help to make the regime of Allah better. The Jews who hear this make fun of it.
قُلۡ هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرّٖ مِّن ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِۚ مَن لَّعَنَهُ ٱللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيۡهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡقِرَدَةَ وَٱلۡخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ شَرّٞ مَّكَانٗا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ٦٠
5:60. Ask them, “Shall I inform you as to which of the communities is considered to be in the worst condition as per the Pre-Directed Laws of Allah? The history of your ancestors is proof of this. Because of disobeying the guidance of Allah, they lost all the blessings, smooth atmosphere and suffered many torments. Their quality of life became as low as that of monkeys and pigs. (See 2:65) Because they all followed their own desires. So, this is how the condition of those who go astray from the right path will go down day by day. Do you want that to happen to you?”
وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُواْ بِٱلۡكُفۡرِ وَهُمۡ قَدۡ خَرَجُواْ بِهِۦۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡتُمُونَ٦١
5:61. O followers of Allah’s guidance! The truth is that even if such people come to you saying, "We too accept the principle,” they have no intention of accepting Allah’s guidance. So, they come and go just like that. But can they hide from Allah what they have hidden in their hearts? Let them know that nothing can be hidden from Allah.
وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٰنِ وَأَكۡلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحۡتَۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ٦٢
5:62. You find that most of them to be brisk in sinful deeds and in eating foods that are forbidden. So, everything they do is nothing but evil deeds.
لَوۡلَا يَنۡهَىٰهُمُ ٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلۡأَحۡبَارُ عَن قَوۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡإِثۡمَ وَأَكۡلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحۡتَۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ٦٣
5:63.. Should not their religious scholars and clergies instruct them not to use inappropriate words and not eat those which is forbidden? But they are not doing that. Because they are also involved in such sinful acts.
Followers of Guidance are often urged for financial and material help to make the rule of Allah better. The Jews who hear this make fun of it.
وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ مَغۡلُولَةٌۚ غُلَّتۡ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَلُعِنُواْ بِمَا قَالُواْۘ بَلۡ يَدَاهُ مَبۡسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيۡفَ يَشَآءُۚ
5:64. They make fun of Allah as if His regime is facing much financial crisis. But the truth is that their hands are tied up because of miser attitude. Woe to those who speak thus! Allah's bounty is always unlimited. Those who take efforts according to rules set by Him will get unlimited livelihoods.
وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغۡيَٰنٗا وَكُفۡرٗاۚ وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمُ ٱلۡعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ كُلَّمَآ أَوۡقَدُواْ نَارٗا لِّلۡحَرۡبِ أَطۡفَأَهَا ٱللَّهُۚ وَيَسۡعَوۡنَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَسَادٗاۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ٦٤
Here, as the guidance of Allah continue to be revealed to you, on the other hand, hatred and animosity are on the rise among those who reject this. As per the established Laws of Allah, all this hatred will surround them till the end. They repeatedly ignited the fire of enmity. But the guidance of Allah prevented them from time to time. Not only that but they are causing chaos all over society. Allah never loves such a mess.
وَلَوۡ أَنَّ أَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ لَكَفَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمۡ سَئَِّاتِهِمۡ وَلَأَدۡخَلۡنَٰهُمۡ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ٦٥
5:65. If the people of the scripture truly accept the guidance of Allah and act in the fear of adverse impacts due to wrongdoing, then the effects of the evil deeds they are doing will vanish and a peaceful situation will develop. They too will enter a life similar to a prosperous paradise full of pleasures.
وَلَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ أَقَامُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ لَأَكَلُواْ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَمِن تَحۡتِ أَرۡجُلِهِمۚ مِّنۡهُمۡ أُمَّةٞ مُّقۡتَصِدَةٞۖ وَكَثِيرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ سَآءَ مَا يَعۡمَلُونَ٦٦
5:66. And if they had guided the society according to the commands given in the Torah and the Bible, they would have received infinite blessings of Allah from the universe down to the depths of the earth. (See also 7:96) They would also have enjoyed worldly pleasures. But barring a few, most of them are engaged in evil deeds. Thus the pleasures they had got are snatched away.
Instead of accepting and following the Qur’an, which is based on the same Scriptures, they oppose it. Thus, they miss a rare opportunity they got.
۞يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغۡ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَۖ وَإِن لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلۡ فَمَا بَلَّغۡتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ٦٧
5:67. O Messenger of Allah! Convey to the people the Scriptural advice revealed from Allah. If you do not, it will mean that you are not fulfilling your responsibility to convey the message of Allah to the people. This will leave people without access to guidance and secure life. Allah will protect you from protests erupting from some of the people. (See 3:144) A community that refuses to accept divine guidance will never receive guidance from Allah. This is His Pre-Directed Laws.
As the series of revelations has come to an end, the scholars who have received the wisdom of the Qur’an must shoulder the responsibility of preaching the guidance to the people. (See 3:104) Failure to do so, the Learned scholars will be held liable for the consequences.
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَسۡتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغۡيَٰنٗا وَكُفۡرٗاۖ فَلَا تَأۡسَ عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ٦٨
5:68. “O People of the Scripture! You cannot be proud in claiming yourselves to be Jews and Christians by mere words. As long as you do not abide by this Qur’an, which has the same basis as given in the Torah and the Bible, you will not be considered trustworthy.” Instead, when you invite them to pay attention to the teachings of the Holy Quran, you will find only an increase in rejecting and transgressing by most of them. So do not worry about those who refuse to accept Allah’s guidance.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَٱلصَّٰبُِٔونَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ٦٩
5:69. Of course, Whichever community they belong to – If they are Muslims, Jews, Sabe-eans who do not follow any rituals, or Christians, all those who wholeheartedly accept the guidance of Allah, the Law of “the ultimate result of human deeds” and work on creative public welfare schemes accordingly will get a comfortable life. They will get secure life that will be free from any fear or misery. (See: 2-62)
That is, it does not matter to which community you belong. The important thing is how you live. If you act according to the advice of the guidance given for the benefit of all, society will also prosper. Your quality of life will also rise.
لَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِمۡ رُسُلٗاۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولُۢ بِمَا لَا تَهۡوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمۡ فَرِيقٗا كَذَّبُواْ وَفَرِيقٗا يَقۡتُلُونَ٧٠
5:70. The fact is that We had taken oaths from the community of Bani Israel through the Reformists to follow Our instructions. (See 2:83) But the clergies of the community were trying to disprove Our guidance because they found most of them to be against their customs. They also tried to kill the Reformists.
وَحَسِبُوٓاْ أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتۡنَةٞ فَعَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ ثُمَّ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ثُمَّ عَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ كَثِيرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ٧١
5:71. Their activities were blind and emotional, thinking that their evil deeds would not cause them any harm. So, they lived like deaf and blind and were not in a position to acquire knowledge. Even then they got the opportunity to get back the guidance of life and get a revived life (See 2:52 & 53) But the blindness and deafness started gaining strength following the abandoning Allah’s guidance. Therefore, the legal system of Allah is constantly monitoring the activities of human beings.
لَقَدۡ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَۖ وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَسِيحُ يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُ ٱلنَّارُۖ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنۡ أَنصَارٖ٧٢
5:72. This is the way how the Jews behaved. Now, look at the Christians. They say that the Great Scholar Easa Nabi, the son of Maryam is their God. This is completely untrue. Thus, they refuse to accept Allah’s guidance. The Scholar never gave such teachings. He taught the people, “O Israelis! Live in obedience to the command of Allah who created and sustains me and you. Do not follow any other rules equating with it. Doing so will cause you to lose the happiness of life and suffer many problems. At such a time, there will be no one to help you.”
لَّقَدۡ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَٰثَةٖۘ وَمَا مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّآ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞۚ وَإِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهُواْ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ٧٣
5:73. But they say that Allah is the combination of three types of forces, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. When there is only one Allah who rules the universe, is it right to divide His Supremacy into three? This too is a type of rejecting Allah. If they do not stop telling people like this, then they too belong to the denial of the truth. Explain to them that their lives will be miserable.
أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ٧٤
5:74. Should they not, after realizing this fact, stop talking like this and come into the safety ring of Allah's guidance? Let them know that the guidance of Allah is to protect with great mercy only to those who do so.
مَّا ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٞ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٞۖ كَانَا يَأۡكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرۡ أَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ٧٥
5:75. And the Messiah, son of Maryam, is none but a Messenger of Allah. Many Reformists came to this world before him. He is also one of its series. His mother Maryam was an example of virtue. (See - 66:12) Both of them ate foods just like other human beings. He was not an angel as they construe (see 17:95). While this Scripture of Allah clarifies everything with evidence, notice how they still narrate different stories about Easa Nabi and mislead the people.
قُلۡ أَتَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعٗاۚ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ٧٦
5:76. They have taken something other than Allah as means to “worship God”. Ask them, “Are you following that way which can neither give you any benefit nor loss?” Whereas Allah's bounty is so vast that it can provide everything required for human life. Thus, all human needs are known to Him and He created them accordingly.
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغۡلُواْ فِي دِينِكُمۡ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَ قَوۡمٖ قَدۡ ضَلُّواْ مِن قَبۡلُ وَأَضَلُّواْ كَثِيرٗا وَضَلُّواْ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ٧٧
5:77. O followers of the previous Book! Do not exaggerate in the lifeline guidance and change it from the truth. Do not follow your own will and pleasure, claiming that it has been the way of your ancestors. They have misled many of you and gone astray.” Explain to them that this is the truth that has happened and is happening.
Now, this Holy Quran is revealed. Accepting and following this is tantamount to following the right path revealed in all the previous Scriptures.
لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۢ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡيَمَۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعۡتَدُونَ٧٨
5:78. Thus, it is not new for the Israeli community to speak untruthfully and engage in transgression. Their forefathers, from the time of Reformist Dawood Nabi to the time of Easa Nabi, lost the blessings of Allah as per the law of "the ultimate result of human action" and were cursed for doing so.
كَانُواْ لَا يَتَنَاهَوۡنَ عَن مُّنكَرٖ فَعَلُوهُۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ٧٩
5:79. The community is now in a state of disarray. The clergy do not prevent them from doing evil. So that they do not turn away from evil deeds.
تَرَىٰ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ لَهُمۡ أَنفُسُهُمۡ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَفِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ هُمۡ خَٰلِدُونَ٨٠
5:80. Not only that, but you will find that all those who reject Allah's guidance join together and act against you. They do not know as to what will happen in the future for such of their activities. So as per the Pre-Directed Laws of Allah, they will lose their peace and be in agony.
وَلَوۡ كَانُواْ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ٨١
5:81. On the contrary, if they had accepted Allah’s guidance and the Scriptures revealed through this Reformist, they would not have joined hands with such evil intentions. Because many of them do not want act according to Allah’s guidance.
۞لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱلۡيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُواْۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقۡرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهۡبَانٗا وَأَنَّهُمۡ لَا يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ٨٢
5:82. So you will see that all the Jews living now, and the idolaters who live according to their own will, are the enemies of the followers of this guidance. You will also find some of those who claim to be Christians intending to like the followers of the guidance. This is because some of them are hermits, and some have humble characters.
Part - 7
وَإِذَا سَمِعُواْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعۡيُنَهُمۡ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمۡعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكۡتُبۡنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ٨٣
5:83. And if such people hear the revelations through this Reformist and know that there is truth in it, you will see tears rolling down their eyes. “O, Allah! We accept Your advice. We also accept that these guidelines show us the most perfect path to a better human life. They pray to Allah to adhere to this guidance and to include them in the list of “Witnesses” who have left their records of achievements in worldwide.
وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَنَطۡمَعُ أَن يُدۡخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ٨٤
5:84. They say, "What prevents us from obeying Allah’s guidance and the Scriptures that have come to us? We want Allah to include us in the multitude of Able Personalities.”
فَأَثَٰبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُواْ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ٨٥
5:85. Thus, they revived their lives as they worked better together with those who accepted and followed Allah's guidance. So, their life became better with generous economic facilities. All of this was the result of the good deeds they did.
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِنَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ٨٦
5:86. Instead, the status of life of those who refuse to accept Allah’s guidance and engage in wrongdoing will deteriorate. Such people will be in tormented inmates of Hell.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُحَرِّمُواْ طَيِّبَٰتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡتَدُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُعۡتَدِينَ٨٧
5:87. O followers of Allah’s guidance! Do not restrict any programs or plans that may contribute to human resource development. Do not ban clean foods that are good for human health. And do not engage in any activity beyond limitations. The love of Allah will never befall the transgressors.
وَكُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَٰلٗا طَيِّبٗاۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنُونَ٨٨
5:88. Stay within the circle of Allah’s guidance and eat hygienic and healthy foods that are allowed for you. Fear the adverse impact if anything is done against the Law of Allah.
لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغۡوِ فِيٓ أَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلۡأَيۡمَٰنَۖ فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطۡعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَٰكِينَ مِنۡ أَوۡسَطِ مَا تُطۡعِمُونَ أَهۡلِيكُمۡ أَوۡ كِسۡوَتُهُمۡ أَوۡ تَحۡرِيرُ رَقَبَةٖۖ
5:89. If one swears for trivial matters in vain, Allah will not find guilty of breaking them. However, it is an offense under the law of Allah if anyone fails to fulfill the oath of allegiance. If you fail to fulfill the vow you made, you must feed ten poor as just you feed your family members in return. Or give them dress materials. Or you have to free one slave.
فَمَن لَّمۡ يَجِدۡ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّٰرَةُ أَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡ إِذَا حَلَفۡتُمۡۚ وَٱحۡفَظُوٓاْ أَيۡمَٰنَكُمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ٨٩
Those who are unable to perform any of these three remedies should fast for three consecutive days. So, these remedies are given to you as atonement for breaking the oath. So, fulfill the vows you make. These instructions are explained so that you shall perform in full faith with gratitude to Allah.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡخَمۡرُ وَٱلۡمَيۡسِرُ وَٱلۡأَنصَابُ وَٱلۡأَزۡلَٰمُ رِجۡسٞ مِّنۡ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ فَٱجۡتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ٩٠
5:90. O followers of Allah's guidance! If you are desirous to maintain social harmony, certain things like drugs, gambling, idolatry, and horoscopes should be banned from society. Because these are all the things that would addict people and spoil social harmony. So make sure that these things do not take place in your community. Only then will society move fast and easily achieve the goal of success.
إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءَ فِي ٱلۡخَمۡرِ وَٱلۡمَيۡسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ٩١
5:.91. The reason is that it is your psyche that attracts you to the side of drugs and gambling, causing you to become hostile and senseless. So, you will not be able to follow the advice of Allah and maintain the "Legal System" which prevents social evils. So why don’t you desist them from entering society?
وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَٱحۡذَرُواْۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ٩٢
5:92. Always follow the Scriptural advice of Allah. And abide by the constitutional by-laws that have been formulated based on Guidance. Be very careful in this. If you avoid either of these two, the consequences will be yours. Know that it is only the duty of the Reformist to explain the guidance of Allah.
Whether or not to accept and follow the Guidance is left to Man’s choice. The Messenger cannot force anyone to accept the Guidance. Therefore, the Messenger will not be responsible for non-acceptance of Guidance.
لَيۡسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جُنَاحٞ فِيمَا طَعِمُوٓاْ إِذَا مَا ٱتَّقَواْ وَّءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّءَامَنُواْ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّأَحۡسَنُواْۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ٩٣
5:93. Accept the guidance of Allah and continue to do creative good deeds accordingly. Stop amassing wealth in the wrong way. Fear Allah and continue to do creative good deeds. Thus, the impact of past sinful acts will diminish if social equality is strived for. Thus, there can be no doubt that those who strive for social unity and harmony will receive the blessings of Allah.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَيَبۡلُوَنَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِشَيۡءٖ مِّنَ ٱلصَّيۡدِ تَنَالُهُۥٓ أَيۡدِيكُمۡ وَرِمَاحُكُمۡ لِيَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُۥ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِۚ فَمَنِ ٱعۡتَدَىٰ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ٩٤
5:94. O followers of Allah’s guidance! When you attain the power to reign, you may get many opportunities to amass wealth in a very easy way. As well as during the Hajj, there may be many animals easily available for hunting in the Kaaba. But you are forbidden to do all these. So, it is the command of Allah that you should not misuse the opportunity available to you. So it is being tested as to who is acting according to His command. Anyone who transgresses even after receiving this advice deserves severe punishment.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَقۡتُلُواْ ٱلصَّيۡدَ وَأَنتُمۡ حُرُمٞۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُۥ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدٗا فَجَزَآءٞ مِّثۡلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ ٱلنَّعَمِ يَحۡكُمُ بِهِۦ ذَوَا عَدۡلٖ مِّنكُمۡ هَدۡيَۢا بَٰلِغَ ٱلۡكَعۡبَةِ
5:95. O followers of Allah’s guidance! No one should hunt animals in violation of this prohibition order. If someone hunts an animal like that, it will be construed to have killed the animal and he will be liable to undergo punishments. The fine will be levied, collected by the government from him and paid to the Ka’aba’s administration.
أَوۡ كَفَّٰرَةٞ طَعَامُ مَسَٰكِينَ أَوۡ عَدۡلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامٗا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمۡرِهِۦۗ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَۚ وَمَنۡ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِنۡهُۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٞ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ٩٥
(Ka’aba) Two officers will be appointed as witness to fulfill the order as follow: The culprit should feed the poor accordingly. Or to observe fasting as prescribed for it. (See 5:89) What has happened before is not the question. An injunction is now passed on to prevent it. Anyone who violates this restraining order is liable to be punished. Thus, the guidance of Allah is exalted and severe in punishment.
أُحِلَّ لَكُمۡ صَيۡدُ ٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَطَعَامُهُۥ مَتَٰعٗا لَّكُمۡ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِۖ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ صَيۡدُ ٱلۡبَرِّ مَا دُمۡتُمۡ حُرُمٗاۗ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِيٓ إِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ٩٦
5:96. This is a prohibition order issued when the Hajj may occur for the animals living on the land. There is no ban on hunting aquatic animals, but hunting in restricted areas is a crime. The idea is that you must practice living under Allah's command in any situation. Otherwise, know that a day will come when you will be questioned about what you have been doing.
۞جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡكَعۡبَةَ ٱلۡبَيۡتَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ قِيَٰمٗا لِّلنَّاسِ وَٱلشَّهۡرَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ وَٱلۡهَدۡيَ وَٱلۡقَلَٰٓئِدَۚ
5:97. The reason for the issuance of these restraining orders is that the Ka’aba is the headquarters of the Conference, the “House of Common” established to protect global peace. Fighting is therefore prohibited during the months of Hajj. And Allah has forbidden the hunting of animals given as gifts for Hajj, as they are to be used for the people who come there.
ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٌ٩٧
Just as Allah has given commands on how all the universes should function, so too He has given guidance considering all human needs. Know that Allah has the power to determine the processing of all creation.
اِعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ٩٨
5:98. Remember! It is His mercy that He has guided for the protection of the people on all sides, while the law of Allah is very strict in punishing the transgressors.
مَّا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلۡبَلَٰغُۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تُبۡدُونَ وَمَا تَكۡتُمُونَ٩٩
5:99. So it is the duty of the Messenger of Allah to convey His guidance to the people. It is up to the people to decide whether to follow it or not. (See - 18:29) So even if you act openly or secretly, they will not go unnoticed by Allah.
قُل لَّا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡخَبِيثُ وَٱلطَّيِّبُ وَلَوۡ أَعۡجَبَكَ كَثۡرَةُ ٱلۡخَبِيثِۚ فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ١٠٠
5:100. Working for human resource development and world peace are good deeds. Any act that causes destruction is sinful. So. these two cannot be equal. But no one should be surprised to see that there are several evil activities in the world. There is a general perception among people that there is nothing wrong if evil deeds are committed by all. But according to the decree of Allah, the effects of the evil deeds will not go unnoticed. O intellectuals! think it over. They will never be role models for you. Act by the command of Allah. You will find success in achieving the ideal goal of your life.
So, things about good and evil are given in principle by this Quran. But their by-laws are not revealed in Qur’an. For Eg. immorality is said to be forbidden (see 7:33) but those immoral acts change their posture according to the circumstances of the time. That is immoral acts were continuing privately in the olden days. Now it is coming out through media like television and the internet. Whether they happen privately or openly, they are disgraceful. They are evil no matter where they take place in the world at any given time. Therefore, the respective government of various countries should adhere to the policy of the Holy Quran according to the situation, consider moral values, make legal clauses, and prohibit defamation.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَسَۡٔلُواْ عَنۡ أَشۡيَآءَ إِن تُبۡدَ لَكُمۡ تَسُؤۡكُمۡ وَإِن تَسَۡٔلُواْ عَنۡهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ تُبۡدَ لَكُمۡ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهَاۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٞ١٠١
5:101. O followers of Allah’s guidance! Don’t keep asking about things that are not important to common people. If they are replied to, they will cause difficulties instead of benefits. The Qur'an gives only the standard principles that are necessary for the better life of Mankind. They will be clarified to you if you ask about it. Allah does not seek to blame you for what you have asked. The fact is that the plans of Allah are for the protection of people of all walks of life.
قَدۡ سَأَلَهَا قَوۡمٞ مِّن قَبۡلِكُمۡ ثُمَّ أَصۡبَحُواْ بِهَا كَٰفِرِينَ١٠٢
5:102. Pre-existing societies have asked such questions, and they were not answered. They resorted to legal schemes by themselves, and gone astray. Do not do the same.
مَا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَحِيرَةٖ وَلَا سَآئِبَةٖ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٖ وَلَا حَامٖ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَۖ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡقِلُونَ١٠٣
5:103. For example, they grazed animals in the name of the deities ‘Bahiratun’, ‘Saiyatun’, ‘Waseelatun’, ‘Hamun’ and worshiped them as deities. Allah never caused all this. But those who do not accept His guidance have fabricated such stories as if Allah has said.
So, what is the use of answering questions about unnecessary rituals and superstitious practices? These are the ones that are followed and practiced by their ancestors for generations. They are not important as far as Allah’s laws are concerned.
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ قَالُواْ حَسۡبُنَا مَا وَجَدۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ ءَابَآءَنَآۚ أَوَلَوۡ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ شَيۡٔٗا وَلَا يَهۡتَدُونَ١٠٤
5:104. If we ask them to avoid those things and tell them to live according to the guidance of Allah and follow the constitutional by-laws enacted by reformist based on it, they will immediately say, “What we saw our ancestors worshiping is enough for us.” But how they are going to understand that their ancestors were the ones who went astray without applying minds for anything? Therefore, try to convince the people about it and correct them.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ عَلَيۡكُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا ٱهۡتَدَيۡتُمۡۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ جَمِيعٗا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ١٠٥
5:105. O followers of Allah’s guidance! You must never deviate from the guidance of Allah. Be very careful in this. The opponents cannot cause much harm to you. Keep in mind that you all must finally come back to the guidance of Allah to have a peaceful life. Also, keep in mind that you are answerable for whatever you have been doing in your life.
Now come back to the international general rules to be followed. Notice how the laws and guidelines are given for this.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ شَهَٰدَةُ بَيۡنِكُمۡ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ حِينَ ٱلۡوَصِيَّةِ ٱثۡنَانِ ذَوَا عَدۡلٖ مِّنكُمۡ أَوۡ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنۡ غَيۡرِكُمۡ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ ضَرَبۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَصَٰبَتۡكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۚ
5:106. If anyone of you feels that he is in the last days of his life, he must formally express his “will” by presenting two convincing testimonies with regards to the division of his wealth. (2: 180) Perhaps while he is on the journey, if he has the fear of death, he can present two other reliable persons and express his “Will” with regards to the division of his property.
تَحۡبِسُونَهُمَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَيُقۡسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ إِنِ ٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ لَا نَشۡتَرِي بِهِۦ ثَمَنٗا وَلَوۡ كَانَ ذَا قُرۡبَىٰ وَلَا نَكۡتُمُ شَهَٰدَةَ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡأٓثِمِينَ١٠٦
The claimant can inherit the property only after obtaining permission from the court (After Judicial Proceedings). For this, he must arrange for those two witnesses concerned to testify before the court. Thus, the witnesses should take the oath of allegiance that they did not receive any reward from the person claiming the property and that they testify with the fear of Allah.
فَإِنۡ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنَّهُمَا ٱسۡتَحَقَّآ إِثۡمٗا فََٔاخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَٱسۡتَحَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَوۡلَيَٰنِ فَيُقۡسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا وَمَا ٱعۡتَدَيۡنَآ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ١٠٧
5:107. If the other claimants find that witnesses have erred in their testimony, they must stand in the witness box and swear by Allah that “Our claim is more legitimate than their testimony, we have not crossed the limitation for this and we that we know that we will be guilty if we do so.”
ذَٰلِكَ أَدۡنَىٰٓ أَن يَأۡتُواْ بِٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِهَآ أَوۡ يَخَافُوٓاْ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيۡمَٰنُۢ بَعۡدَ أَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡۗ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱسۡمَعُواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ١٠٨
5:108. Witnesses can thus be subjected to intensive interrogation and their facial expressions can be easily identified. The perpetrators should be punished. Thus, causing fear in others. So, fear Allah and inquire well about these rules of law and know the right way. Allah never guides those who want to find loopholes in the law.
So, Allah’s guidance is bestowed for the benefit of the people of the world. But the people are abandoning them all and living in a state of carelessness and lying witness for petty gains. In this worldly life perhaps, they can escape. But in the Hereafter, there is certainly no escape.
۞يَوۡمَ يَجۡمَعُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبۡتُمۡۖ قَالُواْ لَا عِلۡمَ لَنَآۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلۡغُيُوبِ١٠٩
5:109. Think about the situation when Reformists are assembled altogether and are asked about the fact of how they preached Allah’s guidance to their community. They would be asked about the response they received from their communities. They will say, “We do not know what was hidden in their hearts except the obvious facts. But You know everything hidden.”
إِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ ٱذۡكُرۡ نِعۡمَتِي عَلَيۡكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذۡ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلۡقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِي ٱلۡمَهۡدِ وَكَهۡلٗاۖ وَإِذۡ عَلَّمۡتُكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَۖ
5:110. Thus, Easa Nabi too will be in the line of Reformists who will be called for witnesses. Allah then will say to him, “ Remember the scriptures which I gave to you and your mother. Giving guidance in a clear-cut manner will also remind you of what you have taught the people in your boyhood and adolescence. For that, you are reminded of the arrangements made to learn the Torah and the Bible which contain the wisdom of the scriptures.”
وَإِذۡ تَخۡلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيَۡٔةِ ٱلطَّيۡرِ بِإِذۡنِي فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيۡرَۢا بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَتُبۡرِئُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَإِذۡ تُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ بِإِذۡنِيۖ
“Explaining those guidelines to the people, cultivating their thinking power buried in them as clay; making them like free birds flying in the sky; (see 3:49) opening the eyes of those who have lived blindly for a long time and making them special; transforming a society that has degenerated like leprosy into a better prosperous society. Remember what you were telling people to set up.”
وَإِذۡ كَفَفۡتُ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذۡ جِئۡتَهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ١١٠
“In short, think of how Bani Israel reacted when you told them to live under Our guidance. When you brought them clear Scriptural advice, they refused to accept it and decided to conspire against you, claiming that it was nothing more than sorcery. Also remember how We saved you from that danger.”
The history of Reformist Easa Nabi, who made a record in the history of the world, is brought to your knowledge again briefly and clearly.
وَإِذۡ أَوۡحَيۡتُ إِلَى ٱلۡحَوَارِيِّۧنَ أَنۡ ءَامِنُواْ بِي وَبِرَسُولِي قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَٱشۡهَدۡ بِأَنَّنَا مُسۡلِمُونَ١١١
5:111. And We advised the Companions, Hawariyun who followed him, “Follow My instructions and that of My Messenger.” They also vowed to operate under the leadership of Reformist Easa and dedicate ourselves to serve for the welfare of society.
إِذۡ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ هَلۡ يَسۡتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِۖ قَالَ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ١١٢
5:112. When the Hawariyuns asked the Reformist Easa Nabi, if he could arrange for them to get livelihood without restrictions, he replied that if you are the ones who follow the guidance of Allah and strive to create a better society, you will surely find a life with such generous facilities.
That is, food materials are being hoarded by anti-social elements as the food distribution system is currently in their control. (See 3:49). So, people suffer due to improper distribution systems. Their question is whether this situation will change and a better government will emerge and thereby increase living standards.
قَالُواْ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأۡكُلَ مِنۡهَا وَتَطۡمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ صَدَقۡتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيۡهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ١١٣
5:113. To which the followers of Easa Nabi replied, “We too wish to create a better-governing body according to Allah’s guidance, through which we can obtain a fair and pleasant life. We hope that such an excellent society will emerge. We will stand as witnesses.”
قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلۡ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدٗا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةٗ مِّنكَۖ وَٱرۡزُقۡنَا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ١١٤
5:114. To this the son of Maryam, Reformist Easa said, “O Allah! May You get us ample livelihood facilities through this regime. May life be made a testament to those who take the lead in following you and to those who join us later on. Thus, whatever is obtained from You will be the greatest proof to the people of the world. And make us generous living facilities. You are the best at giving blessings.”
قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بَعۡدُ مِنكُمۡ فَإِنِّيٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابٗا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ١١٥
5:115. To this Allah replied, “I will multiply the living facilities according to your efforts and as per your request. You have to distribute them properly according to My command and make it a way for everyone to live happily. But if anyone disobeys My command after receiving these facilities, I will torment you in such a way that no one else in the world is punished. ”
On the Day of Judgement, Allah will ask Reformist Easa Nabi what he taught to the people so that the historical facts could be brought to everyone’s knowledge..
وَإِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلۡتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَٰهَيۡنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ قَالَ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِيٓ أَنۡ أَقُولَ مَا لَيۡسَ لِي بِحَقٍّۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلۡتُهُۥ فَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتَهُۥۚ تَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي نَفۡسِي وَلَآ أَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي نَفۡسِكَۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلۡغُيُوبِ١١٦
5:116. When Allah will ask, “O Easa, son of Maryam! Did you tell the people to leave Me and make you and your mother two Gods? ” He will say, "You are beyond human imagination. Should I tell people something which I have no right to do, surely know it. Because you have the power to know even the thoughts that appear in my mind. At the same time, I cannot know anything other than what you have revealed to me about your action plan. You are the Knower of the Unseen.”
مَا قُلۡتُ لَهُمۡ إِلَّا مَآ أَمَرۡتَنِي بِهِۦٓ أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمۡۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ شَهِيدٗا مَّا دُمۡتُ فِيهِمۡۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيۡتَنِي كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٌ١١٧
5:117. He will add, “I did not say to the people, except that what You have commanded me. That is I advised them to live in complete obedience to the guidance of Allah, the Creator of me and you.” And as long as I lived with them I kept track of how they acted. When I passed away from the world, You are the One who could watch over what they were doing. You are a witness over all things.”
إِن تُعَذِّبۡهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ عِبَادُكَۖ وَإِن تَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ١١٨
5:118. And he will say, Ya Allah! They are responsible for their actions after my death. You have enacted the laws of “Cause and Effect”, the pain will come to them according to Your rules. If they do good deeds instead, they will have a safe and peaceful life. They are all your creations. Only your dominance over them will exist. Every action of yours is based on wisdom. So how can I be responsible for their actions?”
Dear Intellectuals! Have you ever considered how beautifully this passage depicts what is going to happen on the Day of Judgment? Have you noticed that nowadays, people are misleading people by saying everything that Reformist Easa Nabi never said to the people? They are acting in a mind-boggling way in the hope that He will atone for the sinful deeds of the people. Shouldn't they realize that these are ruining their lives and leading society and the country to the brink of destruction? The Quran says that this event will take place on the Day of Judgement. So, the talk that he would come back to this world for the second time becomes a lie. See Chapter 3: 35-60, 4: 157-159 for further details on Reformist Easa Nabi.
قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ صِدۡقُهُمۡۚ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدٗاۖ رَّضِيَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡهُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ١١٩
5:119. Allah will say, “Today is the time to reap the rewards of everyone’s activities. Those who lived up to the guidance, which We framed will have a happy, lasting heavenly life. The reason is that they performed according to Our Will. So whatever their needs are, they would get generously from Us. Isn’t it a grand success to have a life like this?”
لِلَّهِ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرُۢ١٢٠
5:120. So, everything in the universe and the earth obeys the command of Allah. Every creation bears witness that Allah is Almighty in all things.
So, it does not mean that heavenly life is available only after death. If all of you work together according to the guidance of Allah, this society itself will become Heavenly. This is what the reformists did. Because Allah's plan works in the universe and the earth. This is the greatness of Allah’s guidance. So let us all work as per the guidance of Allah and achieve great success in making our country heavenly. Amen.
