Chapter No. 70 – Soorah : Ma’ariju (Cosmic Evolutions)
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
سَأَلَ سَآئِلُۢ بِعَذَابٖ وَاقِعٖ١
70:1. There is general inquiry among people about the catastrophe that will befall those who act against the guidance of Rabbu. They ask as to when it will occur.
Is it any cinematic scene that one can bring and show to the people? It is about destruction which they have to experience!
لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ لَيۡسَ لَهُۥ دَافِعٞ٢
70:2. They are the inevitable calamities that befall those who act against the guidance of Rabbu.
مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ذِي ٱلۡمَعَارِجِ٣
70:3. According to the rules prescribed by Allah, the consequences of man's evil deeds will gradually cross many levels and eventually come to the full extent of destruction.
تَعۡرُجُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيۡهِ فِي يَوۡمٖ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُۥ خَمۡسِينَ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ٤
70:4. This is like cosmic evolution that takes place in the forces of the universe and the various functions in it. Evolution in the creation of the universe is completed after crossing many levels. The time it takes to cross each level of progress and to reach their final stage is, according to your calculations, fifty and fifty thousand years. Such is the long-term action plans of Allah (See also 22:47,32:5, 97: 4)
When His evolution programs occur from galaxies down in this world, the time taken to cross each level of progress shrinks to thousand years (32:5) If human efforts are in consonance to this law of evolution, it will further shrink to minutes, hours, days, months or years according to his action.
These are the facts in the evolution theory of the universe and action plan in this world. If a man thinks that everything should be over in the blink of an eye, it is his false expectation. If it is social development or destruction in this world, it occurs in a manner that is adaptable to human actions over a fixed period. That is, the faster they work according to Rabbu's guidance, the better the progress of society. The eviler they do, the quicker the destruction will come.
So, Allah's evolution plans work in such a way that they will not be felt or realized by laymen as it is based on the long run as the ages. If a man acts according to the rules of law that He has enacted, he can bring about the changes that have taken place over the ages in a short period. Thus, human creation (Emergent Evolution) as such is functioning under quick process. So let them ridicule the precautionary messages of this destruction if they want to.
فَٱصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرٗا جَمِيلًا٥
70:5. Be stable and firm in your action plans as guided by Rabbu and work together beautifully at full speed.
إِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهُۥ بَعِيدٗا٦
70:6. But they think that this is not possible.
وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبٗا٧
70:7. Those destructions will happen soon according to the canon of Rabbu.
يَوۡمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ٨
70:8. Then the faces of the great leaders will turn red with anger like molten copper. (55:37)
وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ٩
70:9. The situation of those who have mounted wealth will stumble and flee like a fly. (See 101: 5)
وَلَا يَسَۡٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمٗا١٠
70:10. In such a dire situation, no one will even worry about his life partner.
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِي مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِئِذِۢ بِبَنِيهِ١١
70:11. Thus, his friend will see that the culprit is in distress, but will not help him. Whoever is to blame will be in agony as to whether there is a way to escape from those afflictions.
وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَأَخِيهِ١٢
70:12. He longs for the help of his wife or even his brother.
وَفَصِيلَتِهِ ٱلَّتِي تُٔۡوِيهِ١٣
70:13. Or he longs for the protection of those around him.
وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ١٤
70:14. He longs if anyone can save himself by giving up all the wealth he has accumulated. (See 3:91)
كَلَّآۖ إِنَّهَا لَظَىٰ١٥
70:15. But none of these can ever save him from the torment that is available to him.
نَزَّاعَةٗ لِّلشَّوَىٰ١٦
70:16. Thus, he will fail in all his endeavors and will not be able to do anything.
تَدۡعُواْ مَنۡ أَدۡبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ١٧
70:17. Such a painful condition shouts at those who refuse to accept His guidance and engage in evil deeds.
وَجَمَعَ فَأَوۡعَىٰٓ١٨
70:18. They intended to become rich sooner rather than later.
۞إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا١٩
70:19. Abnormal urgency develops in such people.
إِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ جَزُوعٗا٢٠
70:20. People with such attitudes will immediately flee if anything bad happens to them.
وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلۡخَيۡرُ مَنُوعًا٢١
70:21. But if they get benefits, they will consider them as their own. They will stop giving them for the benefit of society.
إِلَّا ٱلۡمُصَلِّينَ٢٢
70:22. But those who follow His guidance will not do so. They will not have any of the above bad habits or evil thoughts. Because
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ دَآئِمُونَ٢٣
70:23. They will stop living selfishly and uphold the Social Welfare Organizations which seek to promote social welfare in the way shown by Rabbu (see 11:87) and safeguard the welfare of people from all walks of life.
وَٱلَّذِينَ فِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ٢٤
70:24. They will also consider it as their duty to assist in the implementation of community development projects. They will form a federation for this.
لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ٢٥
70:25. The funds thus accumulated will be used to help those below the poverty line and to raise their living standards.
وَٱلَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ٢٦
70:26 They are well aware of the adverse consequences that may occur according to the canon of Allah if they do not undertake such reformatory works.
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشۡفِقُونَ٢٧
70:27. The laws of “Consequences of human actions” apply equally to all. So they are afraid that no one can escape from it.
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمۡ غَيۡرُ مَأۡمُونٖ٢٨
70:28. Whether it is the communities in this world or the life of an individual that continues after the death, they know that they must experience that painful life and so they would act accordingly.
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوجِهِمۡ حَٰفِظُونَ٢٩
70:29. And they will act in righteous ways and safeguard their chastity. They will see to it that degrading acts do not happen anywhere. (See: 17: 32 & 23: 5) They will dress neatly in such a way that their pirate parts are not exposed to strangers.
إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَ٣٠
70:30. However, there is no need for such a dress code between husband and wife. And there is nothing wrong with showing his/her private parts to the nursing staff, such as medical examinations or treatment. (See 23: 5)
فَمَنِ ٱبۡتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡعَادُونَ٣١
70:31. Anywhere else except this one, they should dress modestly and go outside. Walking outside with tight-fitting dresses will not be entertained.
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رَٰعُونَ٣٢
70:32. And they will shoulder the responsibility to carry out the duties entrusted to them. Thus, they will keep their promises to the people. They will not be any shortfall in it at all.
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمۡ قَآئِمُونَ٣٣
70:33. And if they testify in court, they shall not bear false witness. (See 25:72) They will not hesitate to testify.
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُونَ٣٤
70:34. In this way, they will uphold His principles and safeguard the system of social governance.
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ مُّكۡرَمُونَ٣٥
70:35. Such are the ones who deserve to live in Paradise. (See also 23: 1-11) Such a heavenly life will be available in this world and the Hereafter.
فَمَالِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ قِبَلَكَ مُهۡطِعِينَ٣٦
70:36. It is the will of Allah that such a heavenly life is available only to those who follow the guidance of Rabbu. But those who reject Rabbu are dreaming that they can go to Paradise without any effort.
عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ٣٧
70:37. People in crowds are flocking from all sides, thinking that Rabbu's social government will give a share in Paradise.
أَيَطۡمَعُ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَن يُدۡخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٖ٣٨
70:38. Everyone desires to go to heaven. But is it right to think that one could enter Paradise without doing any good deeds? How can they live in peace by doing evil deeds?
كَلَّآۖ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُم مِّمَّا يَعۡلَمُونَ٣٩
70:39. No one can enter Paradise unless he lives under His guidance. (See 51:56) They do not know the truth of what We created them for.
فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغَٰرِبِ إِنَّا لَقَٰدِرُونَ٤٠
70:40. Let them remember one thing. The nourishing systems of Rabbu are spread out in all directions, from East to West. It is everyone’s duty to work tirelessly and live with all the resources and moral values. This is the only way to achieve heavenly life. Because the plans of Allah are the greatest of all things.
عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيۡرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِينَ٤١
70:41. If they do not come forward to do so, arrangements will be made to replace them with better governors. Then nothing can be done by them.
فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوضُواْ وَيَلۡعَبُواْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ٤٢
70:42. Therefore, before such a situation arises, let them come forward to work according to Rabbu's guidance. If they do not want to act like this, let them be immersed in the waste and play as they please. After that, according to the decree of Allah, it will certainly happen.
يَوۡمَ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ سِرَاعٗا كَأَنَّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ نُصُبٖ يُوفِضُونَ٤٣
70:43. At such a time, as the arrow flies out of the bow, they will have to run out of their homes looking for life.
خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ٤٤
70:44. It will be followed by a great loss, with many afflictions that will befall them. To that extent, they would be surrounded by insults. It would be understood that this is what was promised to happen.
Chapter No: 71 Soorah: Nooh (Reformist Nooh Nabi)
