Chapter No: 55 – Soorah :Ar Rahman (The Most Benevolent)

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ١

55:1. This is the guidance from Rabbu, the Most Benevolent, who never expects any replication from anyone.

عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ٢

55:2. All the guidelines pertaining to the livelihood and moral values ​​of man are explained through this Quran.

خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ٣

55:3. It is the guidance from Rabbu who created man.

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ٤

55:4. This is the Scripture that clearly teaches all the ethics of human life.

ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٖ٥

55:5. And the guidance of Rabbu, who has created and orbited the sun and the moon most accurately in their circle.

وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ٦

55:6. This Scripture is blessed by the One, under Whose commands the Branchless vines and branched trees exist.

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ٧

55:7. The Scripture is from Rabbu, who has made the sky a canopy and everything in it balanced with the perfect measure.

That is, explore the creations of the world and the climatic conditions around the world and the various forces - Atmospheric or Cosmic Balance. They all operate according to the correct criteria (equilibrium) within the adoption circle.

أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ٨

55:8. This guidance emphasizes the need to create a just society free from any inequality in the human world, just as He works best without any inequality in His creations.

وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ٩

55:9. O Mankind! Maintain Socio-economic balance in your community. Protect the society so that there is no inequality or injustice in it.

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ١٠

55:10. The livelihood that grows on this earth is for all living things. So, make them available to everyone.

فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ١١

55:11. Those food items include delicious fruits and bark trees.

وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ١٢

55:12. They include peeled cereals and fragrant plants.

So, if a symmetrical social system is not established according to His guidance, selfishness will grow among the people and their focus will be on amassing wealth as much as possible. As a result, social equality will be disrupted and people will suffer. That is why the Qur’an emphasizes teaching people the guidance of Rabbu and living better according to it. Rabbu has created innumerable blessings for man to live better in the world.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٣

55:13. O, Urban and Rural people! Which of Rabbu's blessings do you intend to refuse and disobey?

خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ١٤

55:14. According to Rabbu's grand plan, the creation of human beings was out of sound-making dried clay.

وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٖ مِّن نَّارٖ١٥

55:15. The aborigines called “the jinn” race were created before human creation when the earth was extremely hot. (See 15: 26-27)

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٦

55:16. O, Urban and Rural people! Which of the Supremacy of Rabbu's infinite creations can you deny?

رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ١٧

55:17. According to the administrative system of Rabbu, the sun rises in two directions, northeast, and southeast, and sets in two directions, southwest, and northwest.

This causes changes in the weather to form four seasons. With it, various fruits, vegetables, and food grains grow. (See 41:10)

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٨

55:18. O, Urban and Rural people! Can you deny that Rabbu does not have these great administrative arrangements?

مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ١٩

55:19. Look at the oceans around the earth. They seem to mix with each other.

بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٞ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ٢٠

55:20. Yet barriers have been set between them. So the water of one ocean does not mingle with the other. (See 25:53 & 35:12)

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢١

55:21. O, Urban and Rural people! Can you prove that Rabbu does not have such provisions in the ocean?

يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ٢٢

55:22. You take pearls and corals from both seas.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٣

55:23. O, Urban and Rural people! Which of such blessings of Rabbu will you deny?

وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَ‍َٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ٢٤

55:24. And the great ships, which look like mountains, float on the waters according to the rules which He had ordained;

So, there is no restriction on the part of Rabbu to use these creativities by man. Therefore

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٥

55:25. O, Urban and Rural people! Would you deny the facts of such oceanic gravity that Rabbu has ordained?

كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٖ٢٦

55:26. And all the creations on earth are constantly changing according to the changing circumstances of the time. None of them will work consistently in this world.

Take the radio for example. Once upon a time, everyone used it. But they don't use it now. But it has moved into the TV box. Just like that, telephone, walkie-talkie, train, vehicles, airplane, everything changes according to the situation. Nothing stays stable.

وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ٢٧

55:27. But these changes cannot bring about any change in the laws of Rabbu. Because the laws He enacted are dignified, praiseworthy, and consistent.

In the old days, for example, pornography was practiced privately. Now it is taking place in cinema theaters and on television sets. But no matter where or how they happen, they are immoral acts according to the law of Rabbu. Its effects can be devastating. There will be no change in that law.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٨

55:28. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you going to deny this sort of the standard rules of Rabbu?

يَسۡ‍َٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنٖ٢٩

55:29. All living beings in the sky and on earth depend on Rabbu's providence to fulfill their needs. Arrangements have been made by Rabbu to meet the required quantum of livelihood facilities to suit the changing times. (See 35:15 & 14:34)

For example, 30 years ago the world's population was two billion. Their needs were fulfilled. Now it has increased to 780 crores and their needs are being met. At some point, it will be 7000 crores but still, the requirements will be met at that time accordingly.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٠

55:30. O, Urban and Rural people! Can you deny that Rabbu has such vast livelihood arrangements?

سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ٣١

55:31. The accountability of all deeds of people is controlled by Rabbu.

That is, these cosmic creations are functioning in such a way as to have consequences according to man’s activities. (45:22)

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٢

55:32. O, Urban and Rural people! How can you escape saying that there are no such provisions of Rabbu? The reason

يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ٣٣

55:33. O, Communities of Urban and Rural people! The law of “consequences of human actions” applies to all universes and the earth. If you want to escape from those consequences, you have to go beyond the earth’s space. Pass them on, if you can do so. So, you can never escape from this law of Allah.

When we look at this text scientifically, it seems that man can attain the ability to go beyond the sky. It is said, “If the man has the ability to transcend the skies,” then the Quran indicates that he can go beyond skies as human intelligence grows. Even so, he cannot bring any guidance from there. This is evidenced by the development of modern science. Even then, man is not able to lead a peaceful life.

So, he can never get guidance for human life from there. Those facts can only be known through the Qur’an. There is no truth in saying that one can cross the sky and receive divine guidance without this. Bring it in if you can. Therefore

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٤

55:34. O Rabu’s Urban and Rural people! Can you bring any evidence to prove that this all-encompassing law made by Rabbu is a lie?

يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظٞ مِّن نَّارٖ وَنُحَاسٞ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ٣٥

55:35. When you act against the guidance of Rabbu, the flames of destruction that will befall you will envelop like smoke! There will be no one to help you escape from those afflictions!

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٦

55:36 O, Urban and Rural people! Are you going to be indifferent by saying that none of Rabbu’s torments will come?

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةٗ كَٱلدِّهَانِ٣٧

55:37. At the time of your destruction, the flames of fire will be like the sky splitting. When they fall to the ground, your body will burn like molten copper!

This verse confirms the wars of modern times.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٨

55:38. O, Urban and Rural people! Is it possible to escape from such destructions when Rabbu decrees them?

What will you do with your life after death?

فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُسۡ‍َٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٞ وَلَا جَآنّٞ٣٩

55:39. Then, there will be no need to ask questions about their sinful deeds to the outsider or the outcast. Because records of his actions would have been hung around their necks. (See 17:13)

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٠

55:40. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you going to be indifferent to the fact that these arrangements made by Rabbu do not exist?

يُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ٤١

55:41. Let their faces betray the status of the criminal acts! Then the guards would grab their hair and their legs!

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٢

55:42. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you going to be indifferent to the fact that none of these punishments of Rabbu are available?

هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ٤٣

55:43. They will be told, “This is hell and they have been prepared for the guilty who refuse to obey Rabbu!”

يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٖ٤٤

55:44. They will wander between the Fire of Hell and boiling water like ants trapped between two fireballs.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٥

55:45. O, Urban and Rural people! Will you not fear Rabbu's severe punishment? Are they all lies?

وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ٤٦

55:46. ​​ Those who do good deeds, fearing the law of the consequences of human deeds ordained by Rabbu, will be in the gardens of Paradise in this world as well as in the life Hereafter.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٧

55:47. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you going to lose them by denying that such paradises of Rabbu are not at all?

ذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانٖ٤٨

55:48. A variety of livelihoods will be freely available in both paradises.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٩

55:49. O, Urban and Rural people! Don’t you want any of these blessings from Rabbu?

فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ٥٠

55:50. There will be no shortage of livelihoods in both the heavens just as the springs continue to flow.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥١

55:51. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that no such facilities could be achieved by following the guidance of Rabbu?

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٖ زَوۡجَانِ٥٢

55:52. All the sweet fruits in pairs are available in the two paradises.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٣

55:53. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you blindly lying about these provisions of

Rabbu without examining it?

مُتَّكِ‍ِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۢ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقٖۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانٖ٥٤

55:54. In both the heavens, they will continue their work, sitting on reclining chairs, dressed in plain clothes. The fruits they want will be available within arm's reach.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٥

55:55. O, Urban and Rural people! Would you not like to receive such blessings from Rabbu?

فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ٥٦

55:56. Women will also work in the offices in both the two heavens They will have pure thoughts. They will never be ill-treated by the urban or the rural people. Such a sacred social system will be formed.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٧

55:57. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that such a social system is unlikely to occur in this world and the next?

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡيَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ٥٨

55:58. Those women will be chastely like pure gold and coral, who never look at other men with bad intentions, (See also 37:48, 38:52 & 55:72)

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٩

55:59. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that such a social system is unlikely to develop in this world and the next?

هَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ٦٠

55:60. Such happy conditions arise only in societies that do creative good deeds according to the guidance of Rabbu. No other means can ever create such a smooth atmosphere.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦١

55:61. O, Urban and Rural people! Is it possible to accept this challenge of Rabbu and act as a substitute for His guidance and create such a society?

It is wrong to think that such a social system is not available in this world or that it is not available after death.

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ٦٢

55:62. Such heavenly life will be available in this world and the next. This is certain.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٣

55:63. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that any of these heavenly lives that are hidden behind the screen are not true?

مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ٦٤

55:64. Both the heavens will be ever greenish.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٥

55:65. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that there will be no such provisions of Rabbu?

فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ٦٦

55:66. The fountains of livelihoods will overflow in both the heavens.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٧

55:67. O, Urban and Rural people! Do you deny that there are any such springs?

فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَنَخۡلٞ وَرُمَّانٞ٦٨

55:68. Various fruits, persimmons, and pomegranates are available in both the heavens.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٩

55:69. O, Urban and Rural people! Can you deny that there are no such fruits of Rabbu?

The aforesaid springs and lush oases can only be created, if the world's rainwater is stored properly and the river water is evenly distributed. This requires the support and hard work of people from all walks of life. Then there will be happy when a problem-free society is formed. Babies born there are also beautiful. Therefore

فِيهِنَّ خَيۡرَٰتٌ حِسَانٞ٧٠

55:70. In both such heavens, women and children will be charming and virtuous.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧١

55:71. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that such a moral society will not develop if you act according to the guidance of Rabbu?

حُورٞ مَّقۡصُورَٰتٞ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ٧٢

55:72. Such beautiful women will have endowed with intellect and never go astray.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٣

55:73. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that such a moral society is unlikely to emerge?

لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ٧٤

55:74. Therefore, there is no chance of women being allowed to be touched inappropriately by any urban or rural people.

That is, in the true Quranic social system, women also will participate in social work and will be employed in government offices (see 33:35) but there will never be misconduct.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٥

55:75 O, Urban and Rural people! Can you say that such a moral society cannot be created under the guidance of Rabbu?

مُتَّكِ‍ِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرٖ وَعَبۡقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٖ٧٦

55:76. And they will continue their work, sitting on rugs inlaid with precious stones, and on beautiful rugs.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٧

55:77. O, Urban and Rural people! Are you saying that the formation of such a prosperous society under the guidance of Rabbu is a lie?

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ٧٨

55:78. O, Reformist! Work hard to highlight the beautiful plans of your Rabbu which are so special and dignified. Only then will Rabbu's governing body shine (see 39:69).

Such a better society will continue in this world and the next. These are the blessings that come from following Rabbu's guidance.
