بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
قُلۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا قُرۡءَانًا عَجَبٗا١
72:1. O, Reformist! Please inform the gatherings that you have been revealed about the facts that happened with regards to the tribal who came to listen to this Qur’anic advice. The Tribes who heard this Qur’an went to their community and told them that they had heard amazing Qur’anic news. (See 46:29)
That is to say, let them know that they have the support of the tribes and the hill people.
يَهۡدِيٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشۡدِ فََٔامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ وَلَن نُّشۡرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدٗا٢
72:2. They went to their community and said, “We have accepted their true position because the guidance of Rabbu shows the completely straight path. So, we will not follow anything else as well.” This was approved by those present.
وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَٰحِبَةٗ وَلَا وَلَدٗا٣
72:3. “We have come to realize the magnificence and elevation of His guidance to this extent. And it has become clear to us that the Creator of this world has no wife or son.”
وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطٗا٤
72:4. “But to this day, we had not known all these facts and we have been telling various myths about Allah. To this extent we have been ignorant.”
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلۡإِنسُ وَٱلۡجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبٗا٥
72:5. “Moreover, we had been under the impression that whether urban or the tribes, they won’t give wrong information about Allah.”
But after hearing this Qur’anic message, we came to know that many of the things that were spoken among us were mixed with untrue things.
وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمۡ رَهَقٗا٦
72:6. Some of the urban people have come to us and given false information in the matter of His guidance. We were overjoyed that they were the right ones. Over time they have become part of our culture. But
After listening to these Qur’anic messages, we now realize that they were all superstitious speeches.
وَأَنَّهُمۡ ظَنُّواْ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن يَبۡعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٗا٧
72:7. Yet the people of the city thought that Allah would never send a messenger to remove the superstitions of the people and take them to a higher level.
We thought the same. (See 62: 2) But after hearing this Qur’an, we now realize that all our thoughts are wrong.
And the astrologers used to say that all the astrological things which they predicted our life had a celestial connection.
وَأَنَّا لَمَسۡنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدۡنَٰهَا مُلِئَتۡ حَرَسٗا شَدِيدٗا وَشُهُبٗا٨
72:8. So now, we know that no one can go beyond the sky and hear anything. The reason was that we learned that there were fierce guards and fireballs.
That is, it is impossible to cross the atmosphere around the earth. Arrangements will have to be made for this. (See 55:33) This is evidenced by the discoveries of modern science. Yet no one can bring any news of guidance for human life from there. It can only bring news about the functioning system there.
وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقۡعُدُ مِنۡهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمۡعِۖ فَمَن يَسۡتَمِعِ ٱلۡأٓنَ يَجِدۡ لَهُۥ شِهَابٗا رَّصَدٗا٩
72:9. Before this, we heard of such celestial astrological news and we went to many places and waited to hear it for hours together. But now we know from hearing this Qur’an that whoever tries to do so will have to expect evil consequences for himself.
That is, when the regime based on this Qur’an is active, there will be no need for such prophecies. Beyond that, if there is a movement of astrologers, they will be caught and imprisoned. Or people will chase them away.
وَأَنَّا لَا نَدۡرِيٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ أَرَادَ بِهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ رَشَدٗا١٠
72:10. “Based on the guidance of this Qur’an, will a social system be formed and man will have a comfortable life? Or will we fall into the crusade for this? We do not know.
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَۖ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدٗا١١
72:11. “But some of us are good. some are also evil ones. In addition, we are a multi-sectoral group.”
So, there are chances of protests and animosity within us.
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعۡجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَن نُّعۡجِزَهُۥ هَرَبٗا١٢
72:12. “But we know only one thing. That is, no one can escape the law of "consequences of human deeds" prescribed by Allah. You can't run away from it and hide anywhere. No one can beat that law. We learned this from the Qur’an.”
وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعۡنَا ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ فَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخۡسٗا وَلَا رَهَقٗا١٣
72:13. “So when we hear the Qur’an, which speaks conclusively about every matter, we know to what extent it shows the right path, and we firmly believe in it. So any society that accepts and acts on His guidance will not incur any loss in any way. In such a society no injustice will be done to anyone.”
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلۡمُسۡلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا ٱلۡقَٰسِطُونَۖ فَمَنۡ أَسۡلَمَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوۡاْ رَشَدٗا١٤
72:14. “And some of us are also Muslims who look after the welfare of the people. And there are those who unjustly misappropriate the wealth of the people. Those who accept Rabbu's guidance wholeheartedly are the ones on the right path.”
وَأَمَّا ٱلۡقَٰسِطُونَ فَكَانُواْ لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبٗا١٥
72:15. "On the contrary, we know from this Qur’an that those who are firm in unrighteousness will be a fuel for the torments of Hell."
These are the facts that the tribes went to their people and told them about His guidance and their benefits. But today people deceive people by telling various fantasies about "jinns".
وَأَلَّوِ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقٗا١٦
72:16. O, Reformist! Explain to the people that if the tribes or the urban people persevere as per the guidance of Rabbu and abide by them, they will have all the resources in life.
لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَمَن يُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابٗا صَعَدٗا١٧
72:17. This is the touchstone for knowing who the followers of His guidance are. The lives of those who ignore the counsel of Rabbu will become miserable. Those who live with suffering would mean that they do not follow Rabbu's guidance.
وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمَسَٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدۡعُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٗا١٨
72:18. Let the people know that the social forums (Mosques) are meant only to carry out the schemes as per Allah’s guidance and other means should not be followed. (Ref. 9:17)
وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ يَدۡعُوهُ كَادُواْ يَكُونُونَ عَلَيۡهِ لِبَدٗا١٩
72:19. People assemble in groups against the one who calls for complete submission to Allah and try to oppress him.
قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي وَلَآ أُشۡرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدٗا٢٠
72:20. O, Reformist! Tell them, “Every call I make is towards the guidance of the one Rabbu. It means that no other means should be followed equating it.”
قُلۡ إِنِّي لَآ أَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا رَشَدٗا٢١
72:21. “O, People! The pros and cons of your life are due to your actions. So I can do you no good or harm. You know this.”
قُلۡ إِنِّي لَن يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٞ وَلَنۡ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلۡتَحَدًا٢٢
72:22. Tell them, “If I myself act against the guidance of Allah, I can never seek any benefit. There is no escaping its ill effects. ”
إِلَّا بَلَٰغٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦۚ وَمَن يَعۡصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا٢٣
72:23. “So my task is to make people aware of the guidance that is given by Allah. Whether you accept them or not is up to you. (See 18:29) The lives of those who disobey Allah's guidance and the by-laws that govern it will be miserable. They will have to live a long life in it.”
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوۡاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ أَضۡعَفُ نَاصِرٗا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدٗا٢٤
72:24. As those prescribed afflictions approach the strongholds, all their subordinates who thought them to be the fittest would become a lie. Those whom they considered to be very weak and a few in number will then know their strength.
قُلۡ إِنۡ أَدۡرِيٓ أَقَرِيبٞ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمۡ يَجۡعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّيٓ أَمَدًا٢٥
72:25. I do not know when those promised torments will occur. They can reach you quickly. Or may occur after some time according to the canon of Rabbu. But when you look at your evil deeds, it seems that you are sure to suffer.
عَٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ فَلَا يُظۡهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيۡبِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا٢٦
72:26. I have no knowledge of what will happen in the future. The whole wisdom about it rests with Rabbu. Not revealed about it to anyone.
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱرۡتَضَىٰ مِن رَّسُولٖ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَسۡلُكُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ رَصَدٗا٢٧
72:27. But Allah reveals only what is to be informed through the Messages to the one who is under His choice. None of the revelations are in vain.
For example, when a community acts in a wrong way, it is doomed to fail. That would never be misinformation. It will surely perish. This is because the forces of nature can produce effects in accordance with human actions. But no one can predict when it will perish. Because the more evil it engages in, the sooner it will face destruction. But some keep foretelling the timings symptoms as to when the world will end. These are just speculations. Are not true things.
لِّيَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ أَبۡلَغُواْ رِسَٰلَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ وَأَحۡصَىٰ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عَدَدَۢا٢٨
72:28. In this way, they were raising awareness among the people by preaching His guidance to every community. (See 14: 4) It is up to him to quote them in their entirety and to obey them or not. (See 10: 108) So Rabbu has full knowledge of how any society works. As well as the timing of the consequences for their actions.
Chapter No. 73. Soorah Muzammil (Social Harmony)
