Thunderbolt
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
الٓمٓرۚ
ا Aleef Stands to denote Allah. لٓ Lam stands to denote La-Ilaha That is no Controller in the Universe except Allah م Stands to denote MohammedSal رۚ Ra – Stands to denote Rahman - The Most Beneficent
الٓمٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِۗ وَٱلَّذِيٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ١
13:1. This Scripture, revealed through the Reformist Muhammad, is a great blessing from Allah, the sole controller of all the worlds. O, Reformist! And this Scripture, which has been revealed to you, is the one that can show you the most perfect way to a better life for the people of the world. But most people do not accept this fact.
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيۡرِ عَمَدٖ تَرَوۡنَهَاۖ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلّٞ يَجۡرِي لِأَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗىۚ
13:2. To know the infinite power of Allah, observe how the vast galaxies, the innumerable stars, and planets in it, function without any pillar. It is Allah who created and controls them all perfectly. It is Allah Who created the sun and the moon to revolve according to a fixed period, with which you can accurately calculate the months and years.
يُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمۡ تُوقِنُونَ٢
Allah has created all these according to His Master plans. This scripture, which contains the guidance of life, is clearly explained to you so that you may know all this and act in accordance with the plan of Allah. The scripture also makes it clear that you must face the consequences if you act differently.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي مَدَّ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۡهَٰرٗاۖ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِۖ يُغۡشِي ٱلَّيۡلَ ٱلنَّهَارَۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ٣
13:3. If you want to know more about the Mighty power of Allah, think about how the earth you live in has been created. Note that even though it is spherical, it has been flattened for you to live without any hassle. Not only that, but He has created great mountains and rivers flowing from them. He also created trees and vines that yield a variety of fruits. Each of them has been created in pairs. And the earth is spinning day and night. With it, all foods and minerals are produced. Evidence will be available only to those people who contemplate the works of this great administrative system of Allah.
وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ قِطَعٞ مُّتَجَٰوِرَٰتٞ وَجَنَّٰتٞ مِّنۡ أَعۡنَٰبٖ وَزَرۡعٞ وَنَخِيلٞ صِنۡوَانٞ وَغَيۡرُ صِنۡوَانٖ يُسۡقَىٰ بِمَآءٖ وَٰحِدٖ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعۡضَهَا عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ فِي ٱلۡأُكُلِۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَعۡقِلُونَ٤
13:4. Notice also the vineyards, the orchards, the trees with branches, and the vine without branches. Don’t they need water to grow? Although the nature of the water is the same, think about the fruits and grains that grow with it have different flavors and tastes, each with different nutrients. Only those who think using all their intellects will understand the facts in them.
So, people who do not think about the innumerable creations of the universe and the unsurmountable powers of Allah operating behind them, bring their lives into a narrow circle. That is, they form a circle around themselves to enjoy, protect their dynasty, and observe certain rituals to please the imaginary gods.
۞وَإِن تَعۡجَبۡ فَعَجَبٞ قَوۡلُهُمۡ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًا أَءِنَّا لَفِي خَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٍۗ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمۡۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلۡأَغۡلَٰلُ فِيٓ أَعۡنَاقِهِمۡۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ٥
13:5. Are you surprised to find that man lives only for temporary pleasures without thinking about his future? That is why they ask, “After we die and are reduced to dust, shall we be made anew?” They do not understand the fact that human life continues after death. To this extent, they are trapped in a web of “temporary well-being”. Thus, their future sustainable life becomes questionable. The lives of such people become miserable and there is no way out for them.
Following the guidance of Allah will remove the problems in society and pave the way to a prosperous life. If they are changed, many evil effects will occur in society and social degradation will occur. The reformist explains this fact to the people.
وَيَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبۡلَ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡمَثُلَٰتُۗ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغۡفِرَةٖ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلۡمِهِمۡۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ٦
13:6. Without thinking about the benefits of following the guidance, they hasten you to bring the consequences of evil deeds before their eyes immediately. This is what the people of the previous society were talking about. But the guidance of Allah seeks to protect man from the evil consequences of his wrongdoings which would happen in the future. The guidance informs about this in advance. But the people refuse to accept them and persist in evil deeds. As a result, the severe torments prescribed by the Rabbu will inevitably strike.
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓۗ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٞۖ وَلِكُلِّ قَوۡمٍ هَادٍ٧
13:7. As the earlier societies asked their Reformist, those who still refuse to accept Rabbu’s guidance say, “Should there not be any proof from Allah that he is a reformist?” But you are the one who warns of the evil consequences of their wrongdoing. This is how the Reformists came from time to time to guide every community.
Now the Qur’an has finally been blessed as a Scripture containing Rabbu’s guidance. A section of society has a responsibility to advise people about this (see 3: 104). If they do not do so, the consequences of their actions will be according to Allah's will. The time limit has been fixed for the consequences of evil deeds to appear. Why so much?
ٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَحۡمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَىٰ وَمَا تَغِيضُ ٱلۡأَرۡحَامُ وَمَا تَزۡدَادُۚ وَكُلُّ شَيۡءٍ عِندَهُۥ بِمِقۡدَارٍ٨
13:8. Even if a woman conceives and the fetus grows it does not go without the knowledge of Allah. That is Allah knows best what is in her womb, what is diminishing, and what is expanding. The child gets birth after a fixed period of time.
Like that the consequences of human actions will surely occur after a fixed period of time. If these framed laws are explained to the people, their mindset does not allow them to accept.
عَٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ ٱلۡمُتَعَالِ٩
13:9. But Allah knows the invisible and the manifest. To this extent, the power of Allah is so vast and all-controlling.
سَوَآءٞ مِّنكُم مَّنۡ أَسَرَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ وَمَن جَهَرَ بِهِۦ وَمَنۡ هُوَ مُسۡتَخۡفِۢ بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَسَارِبُۢ بِٱلنَّهَارِ١٠
13:10. So whether anyone of you does any deed secretly or openly, it is the same as far as Allah is concerned. Whether it takes place secretly at night or openly in daylight, their effects will continue to occur as per the Pre-Determined Laws.
لَهُۥ مُعَقِّبَٰتٞ مِّنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ يَحۡفَظُونَهُۥ مِنۡ أَمۡرِ ٱللَّهِۗ
13:11. This world has been created in such a way that all activities of every human being are perfectly monitored. That is, ‘as are his actions, so will be the environment of his world. So, he is destined to face the consequences of what he has done so far and of what he will do in the future.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوۡمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمۡۗ وَإِذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِقَوۡمٖ سُوٓءٗا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥۚ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَالٍ١١
It is on this basis that society will be formed. If a society wants to change its position, it must change the style of its actions. If not, it will never bring out any change in the community. If no such changes are made and if evil deeds continue, no one can prevent the consequences of the evil deeds, which are ordained by Allah. If Allah's guidance is left behind, there can be no other way to attain His better life.
هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُرِيكُمُ ٱلۡبَرۡقَ خَوۡفٗا وَطَمَعٗا وَيُنشِئُ ٱلسَّحَابَ ٱلثِّقَالَ١٢
13:12. And in the administrative provisions of Allah, there are thunderbolts that cause fear. The thunderstorms cause the earth to undergo chemical changes and turn green. And the subsequent heavy rains bring life to the crops.
وَيُسَبِّحُ ٱلرَّعۡدُ بِحَمۡدِهِۦ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مِنۡ خِيفَتِهِۦ وَيُرۡسِلُ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُمۡ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِي ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡمِحَالِ١٣
13:13. Whether it is thunderbolts or other cosmic natural forces, they all fear Allah and continue to obey His commands. And so, His administrative system becomes thousand times admirable. Now it is about the adverse effects of these thunders and lightning. Its implications will be on those who do not deserve to protect from it, according to the laws of Allah. Thus, the system of functioning bears witnesses for the greatest power of Allah, but people argue about His guidance. But the infinite power of Allah is beyond all comprehension.
The functions of the natural creations of the universe on one side, and the intellectual efforts of man on the other. Only when these two work together can man's needs be met. (See 53:39) Consequently, Allah's guidance leads to a better and safer life. If man accepts them, his present life and future stable life will be better. This is the standard law of Allah. Therefore
لَهُۥ دَعۡوَةُ ٱلۡحَقِّۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَسۡتَجِيبُونَ لَهُم بِشَيۡءٍ إِلَّا كَبَٰسِطِ كَفَّيۡهِ إِلَى ٱلۡمَآءِ لِيَبۡلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَٰلِغِهِۦۚ وَمَا دُعَآءُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ١٤
13:14. There is no benefit to Man if he abandons such guidance of Allah and calls on imaginary deities with mere words. We can illustrate this with an example. Someone is standing in front of the water and praying with both hands outstretched that it should automatically come into his mouth. Will it reach his mouth automatically, unless he takes it from his hands and drinks? What good it is to sing the praises of imaginary deities like that and think you can satisfy them? So, this is the situation of those who reject the guidance of Allah.
وَلِلَّهِۤ يَسۡجُدُۤ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ طَوۡعٗا وَكَرۡهٗا وَظِلَٰلُهُم بِٱلۡغُدُوِّ وَٱلۡأٓصَالِ۩١٥
13:15. On the other hand, everything creation in the universe and on earth is in complete obedience to the command of Allah even though they cause desirable or undesirable consequences. They act in obedience to the command of Allah, as the shadow continues from morning till evening,
The direction of the shadow changes according to the sunlight. But just as that shadow cannot change its direction to any other angle, so are the universal natural creations. They can never change their position by themselves. And can the direction of this shadow be changed by any other force? No. It is as if the effects of human actions haunt him. No one can change those effects.
قُلۡ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۚ
13:16. So ask those people who worship imaginary gods, “Under whose control do the galaxies and the earth function?” They will say, as you say, it is under the control of Allah. (See 23: 84-90 & 29: 61-63).
قُلۡ أَفَٱتَّخَذۡتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمۡ نَفۡعٗا وَلَا ضَرّٗاۚ قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡبَصِيرُ أَمۡ هَلۡ تَسۡتَوِي ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ وَٱلنُّورُۗ
“When that is the fact, why do you leave His guidance and take the imaginary gods as your guardians? Do they have the power to do any good or harm themselves? It seems as if, you say that the blind and the vision are equal or darkness and light are equal! (See also: 11: 24 & 35:19)
أَمۡ جَعَلُواْ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُواْ كَخَلۡقِهِۦ فَتَشَٰبَهَ ٱلۡخَلۡقُ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡوَٰحِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّٰرُ١٦
Ask them, if the imaginary deities which they worship, are capable of creating anything just as Allah has created. Even if, for word’s sake, accepted that these deities have created this world, ask them as to who has created these deities. So, ask them to come to a conclusion on the matter of creation. All works operate according to the legal rules set by Him. That is, His dominion over all things.”
أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَسَالَتۡ أَوۡدِيَةُۢ بِقَدَرِهَا فَٱحۡتَمَلَ ٱلسَّيۡلُ زَبَدٗا رَّابِيٗاۖ
13:17. According to the same rules of Allah, rain falls from the sky takes place. It is followed by floods in streams and rivers according to their capacity. Foams are carried on the surface of the water. When using water, you remove unwanted foam and dirt.
وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلنَّارِ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ حِلۡيَةٍ أَوۡ مَتَٰعٖ زَبَدٞ مِّثۡلُهُۥۚ
Similarly, when you make ornaments or utensils, you melt the respective metal objects in the fire. Unwanted dirt and foam are then removed from the metal. You clean them up and use the good ones.
كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَٱلۡبَٰطِلَۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذۡهَبُ جُفَآءٗۖ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمۡكُثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَالَ١٧
In this way, you get rid of the unnecessary things. So, what is beneficial to the people of the world stays in this world. The useless ones perish and extinct. (See also: 13:39, 21:18 & 42:24) Such examples are given for you to understand.
That is how the way of life and the laws are made applicable to the people of the world. Unnecessary rituals that do not help the development of the nations are destroyed. So are societies that do not benefit the people of the world. In the case of the individual, the unworthy will face destruction. Similarly, the plausible government cannot survive long in this world. So, everyone has to make themselves worthy in order to benefit others. This is the lesson to be learned from this example.
لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لِرَبِّهِمُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لَهُۥ
13:18. Allah’s guidance invites you towards the betterment of man’s social life. Whichever society accepts them and acts accordingly, it will secure its excellent benefits. Rather, any society that refuses to accept them and acts against them, the resulting social disorders will lead them to the brink of destruction.
لَوۡ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا وَمِثۡلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفۡتَدَوۡاْ بِهِۦٓۚ
Later on, when he begins to face the adverse effect of his actions, even if he offers the whole of the property he has earned in the world or gives more than that will not save them from misery. (See 3:91) But the suffering caused by that destruction can never be escaped.
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ١٨
Thus, let them know that every action is subject to accountability and that it is very difficult to overcome. What they finally get is a painful hellish life. That is their worst condition.
۞أَفَمَن يَعۡلَمُ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ٱلۡحَقُّ كَمَنۡ هُوَ أَعۡمَىٰٓۚ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ١٩
13:19. Will anyone, who knows that such guidance is given by your Rabbu and acts accordingly be like a blind? Not at all. Only those who think and practice can get advice from this guide.
ٱلَّذِينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَنقُضُونَ ٱلۡمِيثَٰقَ٢٠
13:20. The followers who accept the guidance of Allah will fulfill the promise they made to Allah. (See: 9:111) And they will never breach their promise.
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُمۡ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡحِسَابِ٢١
13:21. The main aspect of the promise given to Allah is to protect the welfare of the people from all walks of life and to work for their unity so that there is no division in society. Thus, the unity and integrity of society must be promoted and defended. They will be afraid that if they do not do so, they would have to face the adverse consequences as per the established Laws of Allah. They also know that the scheme of accountability prescribed by Allah is very severe.
وَٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُواْ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ
13:22. And those who consider Rabbu's guidance at every stage of their lives and act accordingly. Not only that, but they will also continue to work on the principle of guidance. For this, they will set up a social welfare system to carry out His projects, plan social welfare schemes and provide financial assistance for them.
سِرّٗا وَعَلَانِيَةٗ وَيَدۡرَءُونَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عُقۡبَى ٱلدَّارِ٢٢
They will spend privately without telling others about the help they are doing. Even if they help openly, it will be to induce others to do so. In this way, by doing good deeds in society, evil deeds will be prevented from taking place. The work of such people will be fruitful forever. That is, there are benefits in this world and also in the next eternal life. (See also 11: 115 & 28:54)
جَنَّٰتُ عَدۡنٖ يَدۡخُلُونَهَا وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنۡ ءَابَآئِهِمۡ وَأَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمۡۖ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَدۡخُلُونَ عَلَيۡهِم مِّن كُلِّ بَابٖ٢٣
13:23. The society of such people will become like paradise according to their hard work. Their parents, wives, and people, who act in accordance with the laws of Allah, are all entitled to this heavenly life. The support of the universal forces of nature will continue to be available for their work.
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُم بِمَا صَبَرۡتُمۡۚ فَنِعۡمَ عُقۡبَى ٱلدَّارِ٢٤
13:24. Allah proclaims: With the help of those cosmic natural forces, I wish all of them to live contentedly, peacefully, and without any shortcomings as a result of their perseverance and hard work. All of this is possible not only in this worldly life but also in the eternal life after death.
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهۡدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقۡطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعۡنَةُ وَلَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ٢٥
13:25. The promise they made with Allah was to promote social unity, solidarity, that they would never divide the society into factions and turn them into enemies resulting in social imbalance. Those who breach the covenant will ultimately be the great losers. (See 2:27) They will lose all the blessings of Allah and will be pushed to the most miserable condition.
ٱللَّهُ يَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقۡدِرُۚ وَفَرِحُواْ بِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمَا ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَتَٰعٞ٢٦
13:26. Thus, the livelihoods of those who accept the guidance of Allah will expand gradually. (13:23). Those who act against them will face economic problems and social ills. However, for some, in such societies, comfortable life will be available in this world according to their efforts. (See 17:18-21) This comfortable life available to them is not sustainable. In the end, the fact that all the temporary pleasures are insignificant compared to the lasting happy life that comes from performing under the guidance of Allah will become clear.
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِيٓ إِلَيۡهِ مَنۡ أَنَابَ٢٧
13:27. When all these facts are told to the people, they (as already mentioned in 13: 7) ask, “Is there any evidence from the Rabbu that you are a reformist?” They make lame excuses for not accepting Allah's guidance. Thus, those who do not come forward to accept Allah's guidance, go astray according to the law of Allah. Only those who are interested in guidance will receive guidance from Allah.
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَتَطۡمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِۗ أَلَا بِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطۡمَئِنُّ ٱلۡقُلُوبُ٢٨
13:28. Those who listen to the advice of Allah will know and act with the mental appeasement that, “We are on the right path”. This is because only the guidance of Allah can give such complete mental appeasement.
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ طُوبَىٰ لَهُمۡ وَحُسۡنُ مََٔابٖ٢٩
13:29. Such people on receiving the guidance of Allah will not think that our duty is over, but will continue to work as creatively as possible for the betterment of society. Such people alone will get all the blessings and prosperous life.
كَذَٰلِكَ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ فِيٓ أُمَّةٖ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهَآ أُمَمٞ لِّتَتۡلُوَاْ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ وَهُمۡ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ
13:30. It is not new to suggest such guidance to make a prosperous life available. It is a guide that has been given from time to time. “Likewise, O Reformist! We have sent you to your community. What We have revealed to you through this Quran was the same which was revealed to previous communities. Explain this clearly to the people. But they refuse to accept this guidance, which leads to a better life with all the resources in human life.”
قُلۡ هُوَ رَبِّي لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَإِلَيۡهِ مَتَابِ٣٠
Explain to them, “Accepting Allah and accepting the guidance of Allah are one and the same. Act on this guidance with complete confidence in it. Every action you take will have consequences according to the goal He has set. There is no other way for your life pleasant if you leave Allah's guidance.”
They ask the reformist to perform some miracle instead of thinking and accepting them. When he explains to the people the most perfect way to a better life for man, (See 6:37 & 111) They find excuses for not accepting Rabbu’s guidance.
وَلَوۡ أَنَّ قُرۡءَانٗا سُيِّرَتۡ بِهِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ أَوۡ قُطِّعَتۡ بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَوۡ كُلِّمَ بِهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۗ بَل لِّلَّهِ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ جَمِيعًاۗ
13:31. Even If you show them by miracle the mountains to move or the earth to split or resurrect the dead by placing this Qur’an before them, they would not accept this guidance. (See 6:35) So do not spend your precious time worrying about such people. All their affairs will take place according to the framed laws of Allah.
أَفَلَمۡ يَاْيَۡٔسِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن لَّوۡ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَهَدَى ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعٗاۗ
Because, if human beings had been created just as other creatures to live based on their fixed nature, they would have been on the right path, But Allah's plan is not so. His plan is to give complete freedom and His guidance through Reformists. (see 2:38) It is left to man’s choice whether to accept or reject them (see 18:29 & 76:3).
وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ تُصِيبُهُم بِمَا صَنَعُواْ قَارِعَةٌ أَوۡ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبٗا مِّن دَارِهِمۡ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَ وَعۡدُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخۡلِفُ ٱلۡمِيعَادَ٣١
Do you, the disbelievers, not know this truth? So, they will continue to do something against you. So, you may face minor annoyances. (See 3:111) These can also be caused by those around you. Ignore them all and continue in the way Allah has shown to you. Remember that help will come to you as per the laws of Allah (see 3:139 & 10:103) and that there will never be any change in the framed laws of Allah.
وَلَقَدِ ٱسۡتُهۡزِئَ بِرُسُلٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَأَمۡلَيۡتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ثُمَّ أَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ٣٢
13:32. And remember one more thing. It is not new that they ridicule and cause harassment like this. This has been the case with all the Reformists for a long time. They were given the opportunity to change. After that grace period, they were subjected to severe punishment. Historical facts illustrate the same. Take care of yourself.
أَفَمَنۡ هُوَ قَآئِمٌ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ نَفۡسِۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡۗ وَجَعَلُواْ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ
13:33. While the rules of “the consequences of human actions” prescribed by Allah continue, do they follow other laws which are against the guidance of Allah?
قُلۡ سَمُّوهُمۡۚ أَمۡ تُنَبُِّٔونَهُۥ بِمَا لَا يَعۡلَمُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَم بِظَٰهِرٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِۗ
Ask them to produce the details of the procedures they follow so that we could find out their true status. Otherwise, ask them whether they inform Allah of something which He does not know. Or are all these their mere words?” Not so.
بَلۡ زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مَكۡرُهُمۡ وَصُدُّواْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِۗ وَمَن يُضۡلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنۡ هَادٖ٣٣
To those who refuse to accept Rabbu’s guidance, everything they do appears to be beautiful. So, they will never come to the right path. Whoever refuses to accept the guidance of Allah, there is no other way for him to be guided.
لَّهُمۡ عَذَابٞ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَشَقُّۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٖ٣٤
13:34. Such people will have many problems in their present life and their future life will continue to become painful. They will be subjected to severe torment in life that continues after death. There will be no one to save them.
۞مَّثَلُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِي وُعِدَ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَۖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۖ أُكُلُهَا دَآئِمٞ وَظِلُّهَاۚ تِلۡكَ عُقۡبَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْۚ وَّعُقۡبَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ٱلنَّارُ٣٥
13:35. On the contrary, those who accept the guidance of Allah will fear the consequences of evil deeds. The example for their heavenly life is as follows: Societies with generous economic facilities constantly growing like a perennial river; plenty of varieties of livelihoods just as under the shade of a garden. These are the examples given for heavenly life. These are the rewards that come to those who act with the fear of the consequence of evil deeds. Instead, the life of those who reject this theory will turn into hell.
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَفۡرَحُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَۖ وَمِنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ مَن يُنكِرُ بَعۡضَهُۥۚ
13:36. O, Reformist! Thus, those who accept Our guidance and act accordingly, and reap its benefits, rejoice in knowing the counsel that is bestowed upon you. There are other types of people who will accept some of the guidance given to you and refuse to accept the other.
قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ ٱللَّهَ وَلَآ أُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦٓۚ إِلَيۡهِ أَدۡعُواْ وَإِلَيۡهِ مََٔابِ٣٦
Tell them, “I Obey only the guidance of Allah. I have been commanded never to follow any other instructions equating the His guidance. I invite you to its side as well. All the problems of your life will be solved with the guidance of Allah.”
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ حُكۡمًا عَرَبِيّٗاۚ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَ أَهۡوَآءَهُم بَعۡدَ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِيّٖ وَلَا وَاقٖ٣٧
13:37. With such intentions in mind, We have presented this scripture, which contains all the laws, clearly, in the language, you speak. So even after this clear enlightenment, if you follow your desires rejecting Allah, no one will come to help you or save you from the consequences of human deeds prescribed by Allah.
What remains now is their fantasies about the Reformists. That means the Reformist must be an angel. (See 6: 111) He should have gardens (see 25:8). These are all their lame excuses for not accepting the guidance of Allah.
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلٗا مِّن قَبۡلِكَ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗا وَذُرِّيَّةٗۚ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأۡتِيَ بَِٔايَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۗ لِكُلِّ أَجَلٖ كِتَابٞ٣٨
13:38. O, Reformist! All the Reformists who came before you were married and lived well with their wives. None of them are sages who have renounced the world. They are all social reformers. (See 2:151) Moreover, none of these Reformists gave the people any evidence other than Rabbu’s commandments. But it was the socialites who came after them who formed a different opinion about them. Every community was given the opportunity to change. After that they faced destruction.
يَمۡحُواْ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيُثۡبِتُۖ وَعِندَهُۥٓ أُمُّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ٣٩
13:39. So those who go astray will perish, according to the rules established by Allah. Those who do well according to Rabbu’s guidance will remain with glorious life in this world. This is the immutable law of Allah. They are recorded in the Immortal Book and all these universes function accordingly. In the case of human beings too, they are operating on the basis of this standard law of Allah.
وَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي نَعِدُهُمۡ أَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ وَعَلَيۡنَا ٱلۡحِسَابُ٤٠
13:40. O, Reformist! In your lifetime you will see the followers progressing according to these fixed laws of Allah and the disbelievers getting into some misery. Even if your life span is over, don't worry about them. Your main duty is to convey the guidance of Allah to the people. Otherwise, all their future advances and destructions will come according to the framed laws of Allah. (See also 40:77)
أَوَ لَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّا نَأۡتِي ٱلۡأَرۡضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنۡ أَطۡرَافِهَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَحۡكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكۡمِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ٤١
13:41. Don’t you notice that all the anarchic regimes that are taking place on such an authoritarian basis are gradually declining from the map of the earth? Notice also that enlightened democracies are taking their place. These are the things ordained by Allah. Therefore, according to the judgment of Allah, democracy will be established in all parts of the world. Be informed that He is very brisk and serious as far as accountability is concerned.
وَقَدۡ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡمَكۡرُ جَمِيعٗاۖ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَكۡسِبُ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖۗ وَسَيَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡكُفَّٰرُ لِمَنۡ عُقۡبَى ٱلدَّارِ٤٢
13:42. Those who reject the guidance of Allah will be plotting to prevent such a great regime. This too is nothing new. They have done this before. They do not want such a regime to come into existence now. But the plans of Allah will surpass them all. Because Allah knows the truth of what everyone is engaged in. So those who do not accept the guidance of Allah will soon know where they are going.
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَسۡتَ مُرۡسَلٗاۚ قُلۡ كَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدَۢا بَيۡنِي وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ وَمَنۡ عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ٤٣
13:43. Those who refuse to accept the guidance of Allah say, “You have not been sent by Allah.” So, they say, “We will not get any pain as you say.” Tell them, “Allah’s Laws and the ultimate results of your actions will bear the witnesses between you and me. Are these not enough for me? Those who have knowledge of the book of Allah will also be a testimony to this.”
